Damn, I need Leonides next time I go to Santa Anita race track! :D He's right about looking at the horses up close. I've saved myself a few dollars by seeing which horses look ready to run and which ones don't. Still I tend to lose more than I win. :(

J. Passepartout - Well, the Count is far wealthier....remember there are tales of Romans who had many tens of millions of solidari. The Count still has a LOT of ready cash. Leonides isn't rich by the City's standards, except for the poor, that is...

Remember, if he is this good at betting on horses, he might as well be the richest man in the empire provied he goes about it the right way. :)

Storey - It's far easier to write about than it is to do in real life. I don't know squat about horses. Except for the little I wrote about. Doesn't mean I could really do it... I'm just glad it rang true though. I was a bit worried about it.

J. Passepartout - It isn't really about the money for him. Remember, he's a Mongol....Money doesn't really mean that much to him. It is the object lessons he is trying to teach that mean more to him. Of course, he MIGHT prove me wrong...he's kind of got a life of his own now...

Duke of Wellington - This is just the start of his plan. This won't do it all by itself. It will take far more to brake the inertia toward destruction and reverse it toward a desire to revitalize the empire.

King of Sand - Welcome to the jungle known as the Byzantine Empire. Leonides isn't actually at the helm. Nor am I plannning on him becoming Emperor. Although he might demand such...I will try to hold him off with a stick...:)

Being a strong general can probly help the Empire a lot more then becoming Emperor. If someone is doing the day to day ruling, Leonides can spend his time taking more and more territory back. Due to his heritage, it might be interesting if he went east more then west, a reversal of history, though he'd still be conquering China :D

King of Sand - Probably will do more as a general. However he won't be going that far east. His desire is to restore the empire to it's former greatness. He doesn't live forever...He doesn't have the time or resources to reach China. I'll be lucky to restore the eastern empire to it's former height, let alone grab much of the western empire.

Snake IV - Glad you like him...:)

redwolf - Nice of you to drop by. Where ya been?

Been very busy recently, exams, final year project, and a court case involving my family over a sum of money. Well, exams are over and the court case is over, we got back about 80% of the money so i suddenly find some time on my hands. Give me a couple of days to get back the writing urge and perhaps we can get back to the FC AAR and maybe a new AAR which I've been thinking of.

It made me wish I finally get a title for my first AAR, and to start writing it (not counting the Prologue  )

redwolf - Well that indeed explains that....Good to see you back.

Kelvin - Sometimes the title for a project is the toughest thing to think of, but you'll figure it out. Looking forward to what you produce.

Registered - Glad you like it so far. Hopefully I'll have some more for this week.

Yeah, I hope so, I'm stuck for almost three weeks now

Looking forward to what you produce.

Well, it won't be witty or funny as yours, especially as I shy away from dialogues and such, it'll be more grim and determined, I might say (and with 160-180 screenshots prepared for that :D ) .

Well there is a need for grim and determined stories as well. Perhaps you are thinking too hard about what the title should be? If you end up not liking it, you can always ask LD to change it for you later...

Now, that we are talking "grim and determined", it occured to me to call it "The Grim Brothers" or something like that

There is that....

Hopefully I will get an installment written and posted this weekend.
