Hello. Playing for Byzantines with their new election system, I found one absurd thing. Having lost the imperial throne in elective succession, you keep holding Constantinople and other counties, losing only byzantium itself and thrace. Whereas the capital of the empire moves to the new emperor in another province (since I hold Constantinople). Isn't it ridiculuous that the capital of the empire isn't lost together with the title of the Emperor?

The Roman emperor has decision to "claim Constantinople" which just gives him Constantinople county if he doesn't own it and the AI tends to locate capital to de jure capital. So even AI Rome eventualy gets there, reason why it haven't yet in your game is probably that it´s in war, thus unable to change capital.
I presume it´s easier for the devs to add this get-around mechanic than change the whole elective succesion so the succesor gets the capital by default.

I found this decision in files, but it works only if Constantinople is held by AI. I think the developers should tie Constantinople ( Or maybe all the counties in Thrace) to the title of Emperor, because it is completely unhistorical when Constantinople remains in hands of the previous dynasty even if this is player.

It's not an automatic usurptation via event for the AI like it is for the player. I've lost an election while holding Constantinople and the AI later has to request a revocation or war. Presumbably you can defeat them and keep it for yourself, but the AI will generally (eventually) take Constantinople back.

AI go civil war 90% of time if left alone the only way to keep it stable is a player firing commanders and only letting liked council vote for the successor as sure case else pay up for a favor and buy up the election. HRE is worst too Karling get the purge they get deleted fast by random duke.

On that note; we *really* need a mechanic for dynastic opinion or legitimacy; maybe tied to dynastic prestige and how many times theyve held a certain title, bonus points of they were the ones who created it last so they're more likely to be voted back into power down the road if they lose it (but it isnt destroyed).

Of course to ensure that doesnt result in every kingdom imploding within 2 generations due to terrible stats; probably need a "blessed dynasty" mechanic or something that modifies the likelihood of children from prestigious families are more likely to get stay increases while growing up
