We need to decide the piety penalty for marrying a Catholic. 50 sounds good to me, unless someone has other ideas.

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
It could be 100 for first, 50 for second, 25 for third and nothing for fourth or more marriage.
If we really go the roleplaying way, it should be 1000 for your fourth marriage, since the Orthodox church frowned on even third marriages. Even Emperors got into trouble for marrying a third (not to mention a fourth) time.

Unless there is new beta patch and it's tested that save transfer works, we have to use 1.04a.

It has little effect practically, but if we want to have such a rule, it needs to be enforced.
Well, this game doesn't seem that fun to me, I think simply a kings game or regular dukes game would've been better, how's that dukes scen coming?
I agree that this is a bit boring with most players no longer Byzantine princes at all. I'm currently working on the independent counts scenario, it might be ready by the time Johan fixes the MP bug.

What would people prefer, dukes with stats as Byak currently has them, or redone with random stats per the character system we had in the KFS game? Obviously players will get to create their own characters in any case.

Well, the current dukes all have stats comparable to the stats possible in character creation system, while the KFS system gives averagely poorer results and would be much work to be done still (at least if done manually).
I would favour the current stats therefore, mostly because I'd like my AI opposition to not be handicapped in characters too. Also it would be nice to get to play it like for example next sunday and not in somewhere next year...

Ok, I'll just fix the country borders and dynasties then. Should I leave the vassal counts in?

I did put the vassal bishops there in the first place because the dukes would have been over their demesne limit otherwise. They also serve as possible candidates for papacy, so imo they could stay.

Mainly I asked because some players might not want to start with any preset vassals. And revoking bishops is especially bothersome.
