I was also curious about your choice of political systems. I take it you go with the historical interpretation that the Palaeologos dynasty wasn't as "representative" as say, the Komnenos?

Don't worry about the bother I am rather enjoying discussing all of the background I had created for this mod (I dont like having holes in my stories.)
and yes the empire would be much harder to hold, thus the First Balkan War, the Arab Civil War, German Unification, the Liberal revolution, The Balkan Uprising, the Russo-Byzantine War, and if you win that, the Socialist Civil War, the Persian-Byzantine War, The Tripoli War, the Second Balkan War, and finally World War I (I coded it.) So yes it is difficult in the modern world
and finally if you notice from that monarch list i included, the reigning dynasty is that Kapodistrias dynasty (I started researching great Greek statesmen to use as monarchs.)
