I thought I read something about having an option to appoint multiple different emperors when you form Byzantium, but I'm guessing that was either a fever dream or it was for another nation in the DLC. Would appreciate it if anyone knows? If that IS the only option besides an easter egg though, man.... That's disappointing. No flavor at all, just the same fascist leader.

The thing is, the Byzantine path is a fascist path, not a monarchist path. Kosmidis isn't the Emperor, he's a fascist head of state like Mussolini or Mosley. I guess the Emperor in this case is still George II.

You're right, but what's the point of having focuses to restore the Byzantine Empire if you don't get an Emperor? Sure it's a little silly, but the whole point of having it in the game should fulfill the alt history cool factor and give you a new Basileus. I've seen other people mention it should've been under the monarchist route instead and I agree. Even if it stayed the same though, Mussolini as a fascist leader already changes when you remake Rome. (Even if it is kind of a joke.)

The "Overpowered" Leaders are to compensate for them being much weaker nations or as a reward for pulling off some feat. The Big 4 you mentioned are boosted by the fact they ruile over Majors and that is all the clout they need to be serious on the world stage.

Sultan Lady may have nice buffs but it doesnt take away the fact that Turkey is in the Firing line for 4 of the 7 Majors.
im really against op leaders too. you could argue they get a good trait for x thing but flatout 50% on everythign is just wrong.
op leaders should be the majors the legends of churchhill and rosevelt stalin are there because they were great leaders with aura.
hitler fixed the hyperinflation and could be reflected with 50% economic cost and stability
stalin ruled with an iron fist and could be reflected with compliance gain
churchhill was a great orator and increased the morale of the nation which could be stability and mobilization speed
hirohito was the divine emperor banzai was the warcry japanese soldiers never retreated they chose to die as last stands. last stance should be free and have 50%+ to organisation.
ataturk being op was reflected in history he was a great leader and the op status is balanced with him forced to die at 38
but giving u a even better nobody is just gamebreaking

The Greek King becomes the Byzantine Emperor. For all intents and purposes a figurehead monarch, either under the National Liberals or the EEE

So you really get stuck with this goof as Byzantium? Like, people have combed the files already, and there's no super secret 'Zoe the Second' or something? I imagine because of the Fascism.

Seems like a subtle troll even. Which I will grudgingly applaud. Or it's simply the poor image source. Could stand a bit of embellishment though. I mean, look at that Hitler.
