You are doing a mistake Andre! He's a protestant you fool! Where have he ever said kind words to the only religion and the best religion of Catholicism? All I've seen were vague promises about africa and nothing else. And need I remind you that he was trying to give protestants a chance to cause chaos and misery in our country as stated by himself here:We have not yet even begun to fight, you fool! Tuscany shall enabler be satisfied till we dominate Italy. Africa is merely a distraction till an opportunity arises to attack Milan.
Prince iamme still has my vote unless he renounces Catholicism.
Yeah I mean I was voted in by the protestant lobby so I gave you guys the perfect chance to get some clout...
Don't you see? Now we finally have a chance to rid ourselves of the heretic scum and that secret monarchist of a prince, yet you aren't lending your strength for that final blow! Get back to the only right side there is and do it fast!
Do I see a gauntlet being thrown? You want to have an actual debate over this? WISH GRANTED.
First of all, changing the governmental structure of our fine nation would be bad for what we are trying to do here. You see we all refer to ourselves and each other as princes? If nobility is removed what will be then? Lucky Paupers? From where I am standing Tuscany is forever a noble republic and the PRINCES of our fine nation will just have to work around that.
Second just saying you will build ships to patrol sealanes is a nice gesture but where you will get the money? In the last 8 years the princes of this topic saw fit to give to me it was all I could do to manage the budget keep inflation down and expand holdings in Africa. In our fine nation it is imperative to manage the budget effectively as there isn't enough money to go to everywhere. So you want to build ships, what will you give to up to compensate for that? Stop colonizing? Increase printing to the point of inflation? We cannot do either of these. Genoa and Naples are hot on our tails in central Africa and France is already invading Algiers. We can build ships anytime to increase the tariffs. But we only have a limited time to colonize ahead of other nations and you would have us squander our head start? Salt is thicker than water my friend.
*I am, of course, arguing in-character so to speak. For the person behind the iamme account, I've nothing but respect.![]()
You don't have to worry it is all in good fun. I wouldn't be the head of a croc party IRL. Alligators on the other hand...
That last post was simply the reply iamme deserved. It was completely fruitless for swaying the electorate because, unless I am mistaken, the vote is in.
In the Election vote, called on the 29th of September and therefore ending at 20:00GMT on the 2nd of Oct, the results were as follows:
iamme was voted for by iamme, Andre Massena, 1anrs and thawitchking.
Tabanese was voted for by Tabanese, Panzer Commander and Vidmizz.
Therefore, the winner of this election is iamme!
We should have, as the election and slider timelines are similarly long, had a slider vote in anticipation of the move. Therefore I am calling an anticipatory vote for the slider. Iamme did graciously offer a snapshot of the slider situation a few pages back so feel free to consult that, remembering that plutocracy has maxed out since then.
Iamme, you need not wait for the slider vote to come in before beginning play.
The deadline for the slider vote is the 5th of October, 20:00GMT.
wow i broke the tie just in time lol
(YOU OWE YOUR LIFE TO ME JK)

Why? Partly to stimulate discussion, partly because I've yet to form an opinion.
Good call maintaining stability in lieu of research Iamme. Perhaps the Crocs can rule. However, concerning research, in your save the investments were spread out. I do believe it is more efficient to focus one topic at a time.![]()
