Yes, this is something I would like to see, but this thread only talks about buying or selling provinces..

How about using provinces as security for loans?
IMO, this was far more freqvent during this time period. You could loose a province to a loangiver and actually give loans with provinces as security.
Another option was to give a loan and receive a province income as payment.

What do u think?

Anyway, you can't sell a claim on land based on family bloodties. Either your have it or you don't.

I was thinking you could sell "your" claim to the land... Other branches of the family would still hold the claim (opening for a few more... hostilities :D)

No. The only way not to have a claim is to renounce it for you and your descendants. Of course it could be possible to be "helped" to renounce it. :)

Yet, the goal of a claim is to obtain the object of the claim someway, sometime.

SO...

Is this right?

I can buy and sell provinces...
If I sell a province I must have full ownership of it, not a blood link or some other junk.
Am I able to sell core provinces?
If I do so, will I immmediately gain a CB on the purchaser?
Obviously the same question in reference to buying from a nation also. (I buy core province...seller have CB on me?)

Can I just sell a province if I'm running out of dough?
Let's say my nation took a five year loan...in a month's time I've gotta pay up...2d in treasury...can I sell a province to pay off my debts. Completely unrelated (Can I take out a loan from another nation apart from the bank? AI nation offers me a loan...I ask AI nation for a loan, etc...)

How does this affect the national stability? Sure, if it is not a core province, no real big stability hit...maybe -1. But if it's a core province...since you're undermining your national identity, maybe a -3 stability hit? With no hits, not only ppl, but AIs will be buying and selling provinces at the drop of a hat.

What about powermongering capitalists?
1. Declare war
2. Declare peace with a deal annexing a province
3. Sell the newly acquired province for a tidy profit!:p

There should be a amount of time you MUST own a province before you can sell it.

EDIT: smily
