After updating game to 1.7 (from 1.5) my bus lines started to wait at bus stops more than 5 sec which caused traffic backing up. I tried to deleting and recreating lines but it didnt help. Anyone know how can i fix this problem?

Update:
With the problem I was having, I was sharing the same single bus stop with two different colored lines (the picture attachment link can be found below, and also in my previous post above).
I went ahead and separated one of the lines from this specific bus stop, and created a second bus stop nearby, thus each colored line now has its own bus stop (as someone previously mentioned/suggested).
This helped to alleviate the problem I was having.
I still sometimes have a queue of 2 or 3 buses at these bus stops, but nowhere near the delay I was having before with 8 to 10 buses waiting in a queue.

I created a separate thread as a suggestion to the developers, to get the second bus waiting at a bus stop, to be completely merged over and out of the normal flow of traffic, and thus get it into the special indented bus lane behind bus #1 (the bus which is currently unloading and loading passengers).

If you would like to participate in that discussion, in that thread, here is the direct link :

I found the unbunching to be an improvement, but it does take a bit of time to get things spaced out sometimes (as noted by barrygreybeard), but in my experience it is for the better. I couldn't stand all the bunched up transports (pre-update).

I had (have) the same problem even before 1.7 update. ALL my buses, trains, metros stop at the stations for 10-20 seconds! I had IPT and AVO and I could see that the status for the metro/train changes from "boarding" to "unbunching in progress" to "en route" but the train / bus still stays at the stop for a few seconds more.
I think this is a more general problem as I also observed my fire trucks and taxis stand on the spot for a long time AFTER subduing the fire or dropping a passenger, resp. Problem still persists after disabling all mods. So the game has been unplayable for me. After 1.7 now my metro / trains dont even move, they just disappear but that needs a thread of its own.

IPT is now deprecated, use IPT2 in stead. If you still have problems launch the game using no workshop items to see if the problem persists. use --noWorkshop or --disableMods in launch options to test

I just don't understand why it is so hard to make busses leave the depot with an adequate timing.

make a new line and see if they do. That's what the unbunching process is, a bus doesn't leave a stop until there is sufficient room between itself and the one before...

So I did. I created a new city in sandbox mode, with just a bus depot and one rectangular road. I put the slider to the right to have the maximum bus count allowed.
When busses leave the depot, they form a line at the stop closest to the depot. After a while, the unbunching system solves the problem. It works even if you have more busses than stops, so it is not as simple as wait for the previous bus to get to the next stop.

So, if you have a full time line, this problem will just happen once. But if you select it to run only at daytime, you will have a jam every morning.

Is it so hard to include the depot in the algorithm?
