Hello

I'm trying to do the first campaign (berlin) and I got stuck with a problem I don't know how to handle.
I start berlin the first time and quickly, some bus stop get crowded (200+ waiters) even if I add more buses. And because the new bus starts whenever it wants, when it gets to the crowded bus stop, it was already full. And I can't get more travelers so I can't earn money...
So I restart berlin's campaign, with a focus on add a lot of buses from the start, and I got again some 100+ bus stops, even if the line have 40 buses rotating...
Not to mention that at this rate, I can't earn money...

I don't find any similar case in the forum so what I did bad in this campaign?

thank you in advance

You can add 50 stops or 50 buses to your line, it's not gonna make a difference. Your best bet is to revise your lines and make them shorter with less stops, even if you have to add more lines. Try not to go over 10 stops totals, the less the better.

Like speedking said, have short line, not long ones.
Get the bus lines to "feed" metro and tram stations.
One bus line will not give you profit. Money will start coming your way when you will have a network that people can actually use.
Read any post that involves hints about the game, not just your specific problem.

And one more thing: the vehicles do not start whenever they want. They always start at stop/station number 1 (and don't pick up anybody, going directly to stop number 2). If stop/station number 1 is blocked for any reason, like a car or another bus there, it will go to number 2. If the same thing happens, start in number 3 and so on.

I think thats what most frustrates me in CiM at the moment, not being able to control where vehicles enter the line. I wish there was at least a way of seeing on the minimap where all the vehicles currently running the selected line are (all together, not one at a time) so i can judge when to add a new vehicle and avoid them getting stacked up.

And ive never understood why they don't pick up passengers at the first stop. I mean, it makes sense when the line first opens since passengers don't start to queue up until after you first open it, but afterwards?

Using the vehicle roster is very helpful, you can sort stations by average wait time or happiness. This is very helpful when looking for problems in a big network.
Keep one eye on the news ticker, If a vehicle is stuck, you will get a message, clicking on the message takes you to the location.

And btw, the number of buses or trams on a line is not infinite to be efficient. If you have too much buses or trams on a line, you'll create traffic jams, thus your buses will arrive at the stations less often than if you had like 5 buses less. Overall this would cost you more, because you have more buses but you won't earn more as you'll slow down the traffic.

This. The answer for buses is not to add as many as buses as you can afford, because this will create horrible traffic jams along your route and you'll slow down the route.
As posters above have said, you need to take a moment to analyze your lines.
See where most of the passengers being picked up in that crowded station are being dropped off. Are they getting off on a metro station? Are they connector to a tram? If you can figure that out, you might be able to create a shorter line catering to the majority of those passengers.
