I saw it discussed in the Wired article about Cities Skylines that bus routes are going to be a thing in this game. Firstly, that's a really cool feature. Always wanted it in Simcity.

Secondly, how will this mechanic work? Will we be able to create bus routes and modify them? Can two bus routes use a single station simultaneously?

Should we assume the public transportation system will work and play at least like Cities In Motion the first? I guess that would be a minimum?
From what I've seen of CiM in Youtube Lets Plays (never actually played the game, I'm too poor to buy everything :( ), the amount of micromanagement is pretty high. Paradox and Colossal Order have stated previously that this game would be significantly more streamlined.

I remember them saying in a thread that you can create your own bus routes yes. But it is much more streamlined them in CiM 2 (obviously).

Let's Plays.... lol.
Cities In Motion is super straighforward. I would even say its "arcadey". There's litteraly 4 things to do. Create the routes, put the buses on it, watch and adjust price ticket and then if you want you pay some marketing/publicity for your company.
The bolded part should be in Cities Skyline, seriously.

I'm relatively sure this is still a work in progress, so can't really state much here without risking having to retract it later. There will be a developer diary on public transit at a later point :)

Oh, well, speaking of developer diaries... I think you're a little bit overdue. :p
