absolutely agreed here. Perhaps questionable morally its a viable military tactic to destroy cities and raize them and send a message to your enemy.

The Mongols perfected it, and if I have the chance in an SP or MP game to use that tactic you bet I am going to do as much damage as possible to my enemy unless the city lays in a province I want to annex.

This is a tried and true military tactic and one that would be awesome in game, how will it be or will it be? I dunno but it would change the military aspect of the game tremendously in my view.

Well, it wasn't considered good style to do such things in the victorian age, so it should give you some badboy-points (unless it's some sort of heathen village you burn)

The home didn't get burned but a cannonball was left on the diningroom table as some sort of message.

I am against the burning of Atlanta, btw. But I am all for an event burning New York City.:D

Sure any city should be able to burn ! I hope the Atlanta burning isnt an event in the game that would negate potential alternative outcomes. I mean what if you avoid the CW and then bam "Atlanta burns" that would suck.

P.S. small off topic note: Miami is great but wait till they get to the ACC, and besides one of these days B.C. will beat them....
