My very first issue with EU IV was with Burgundy and historical railroading and it completely ruined my desire to play EUIV. I come back every once in a while to see if its improved. First time back in over 2 years. Appropriate that there's a thread about Burgundy and in it contains a reference to the most repugnant aspect of the game.

I remember in an early English game where I tried to be DotF and beat France. I allied burgundy after dropping weaker allies, only for them to flip reformed after a few months.

The railroading of burgundy is needed for Austria and France to have Italian wars
