In 1476, the Burgundy inheritance event fired and as HRE emperor I was offered to inherit all remaining provinces that French did not take so far. A month before, I answered CTA against Burgundy from Metz so I was a warleader against Burgundy at that moment. When I hit the button "Inheritance? Yes!" I indeed inherit all remaining Burgundy provinces. But Burgundy also had an army of 30.000 that disappears from the map right at that moment.

If I annex a vassal or integrate a PU, I also inherit all their armies and navies. Does Burgundy inheritance work any different? Any ideas how to also inherit their armies and navies?

The inheritance, IIRC, simply cedes all the provinces, rather than integrating as a vassal or PU junior.

You never get their armies. The same way when you full annex someone with an army it disapears
