I did the king of frank and when I got pued by France in event, I instantly inherited the dogshit four French vassals. It was great. Is this like an oversight, for instance if you pu Poland before this, do you inherit poles? That is a lot of free cores.

Sometimes good things that happen to you that are unique and rng are on purpose.
This one was explained in the dev diaries for emperor when Burg gets pued he integrates his vassals. This makes the king of Franks mission actually useful because you can't integrate your pu vassals before France integrates his normal vassals so you would be dying in negative diplo points if burg didn't have this event.

Yes it's intended, it's how you can auto integrate nevers, and best to go with France so you can shank them during the independence war
i think i saw screenshot of a player france who got Burgundy inheritance after Burgundy inherited Milan flat out and got PU over England. He basicaly got free dominance of the channel node, as it all became Burgundy on BI event and when marie died and he got it all..

In my one Burgundy game since Emperor, I allowed France to PU me, only for them to immediately give up all my land to the HRE, leaving me with almost nothing. I was sad.

On the other side, as Burgundy I experienced that if you are just integrating a vassal when BI event happens, this stops the integration process AND you do not inherit that specific vassal...
