Hi there Devs and gamers,
Having spent many hours on this game, here are some of my personnal basic suggestions or tweaks that could be easily implemented.
It took me some time to write it, I hope you will enjoy the read
1) "Mega patch"
2) Outliner
With all of that said, I think I'm done
What do you think about these suggestions ?
Having spent many hours on this game, here are some of my personnal basic suggestions or tweaks that could be easily implemented.
It took me some time to write it, I hope you will enjoy the read
1) "Mega patch"
- Thank you dear Devs for the continuous new content. But as time moves on, it seems that the game is becoming buggier and heavier. So my first suggestion would be to take your time to release a "mega patch" to fix the many issues that players are facing as shown on the forum such as recurring bugs and performance issues.
2) Outliner
- The possibility of reorganising the order within every tab not only planets but fleets, starbases etc. as we want.
- To optimise the navigation within the outliner, putting the tabs (planets, systems, fleet etc.) on the side so we can close and open each tab without having to scroll down or up every time.
- Rethink the fleet manager tool, it is really not good
but I know this suggestion has been made for years.
- For the management of the fleet, I would suggest that when selecting multiple fleets to attack or move to a certain target that the entire selection automatically follows the slowest fleet so that your entire armada arrives at the same time at the designated target. (I know there is the command to follow a specific fleet but...)
- Add the option to go to the next one as for the planets.
- Create a specific tab for Orbital rings in the Outliner not mixed up with starbases.
- Separate the civilian ships from the military ships in the shipyard, having two disctinct categories.
- Add the possibility to dismantle them, especially for portals and habitats
- Well you know the problem with Pops...
- More seriously, add the option to allocate a Pop to the job required instead of having to use the priority system and to fiddle with it until we get what we wanted.
- Every major event (wars, alliances, pacts, federations forming and joining, storms etc.) could be recorded in the "Galactic Newspaper"
- As for the idea above, having a personnal timeline of your empire with the major events (first colony, wars, triumphs, etc.) recorded in timeline fashion would be really cool
- I would suggest that we can rename and modify a species' climactic preference even with negative modifying points.
- That we can purge even our founding specie when a subset has evolved in a different direction (i.e when playing psionic empire and subset of your Pops on a specific planet becomes cybernetic)
- Also when creating a new sub-specie, we can modify its appearance (i.e clothes, color etc.)
- Stop this madness...
- More seriously, I would suggest that, instead of having to roll the dice to get personnalities with decent traits, we could have a system that is based on the ethics/civics of the empire or even on planetary/starbase buildings which would favor the apparitions of certain traits.
- Increase the speed of weapon loading, when you want to destroy multiple targets it becomes really tidious.
- Allow every type of weapon for the colossus regardless of the ethics of your empire.
- Just once a year please...
- Reduce the time, it is sometimes really too long (even with terraforming gas edict)
- When conquering a hive or mechanic world, it would be great if we had a special planetary decision to make them somewhat habitable right away.
- When exchanging with other empires, I have noticed that they are never willing to "sell" systems. To quote : "It would end the war by half and save millions of lives". It would be great if this mechanic was encouraged for the AI.
- Add the option that allows the opposing side to decide what a faire trade would be instead of randomly guessing. Like in CIV games where you can ask what it would take for him to accept your proposal.
- War exhaustion (above 60 or 70%) should impact the empire (reduced production, low troop moral etc.) therefore urging a conclusion or peace treaty, except for total war goal.
- Also the difference of war exhaustion between two empires should also be relevant, i.e if my war exhaustion is at 3% and theirs at 50%, it should demoralise them.
- Having the total war goal available by default without having a specific type of empire or colossus.
With all of that said, I think I'm done
What do you think about these suggestions ?
