Bulgarian General Disappears

In the game start Bulgaria has a level 4 Nikola Hadzipetkov, who is a brilliant strategist, organizer and infantry officer. However, a couple days later he disappears completely, denying Bulgaria a vita asset in conquering the Balkans

Hmm. From the game files, he's supposed to retire if you sign the Tripartite Pact.

I'll take a deeper look, to see if something's up there.

edit: can't see anything why he'd disappear after only a couple days

Same here. You assign him to an army at the start but then he magically vanishes.

yep i've noticed it as well on several ironman runs, about halfway through my first focus
