The popup for the worker is Not enough workers. Given you have 90k people, I would say this is because you have a large amount of office buildings which are taking up your jobs. Try going into Policies and setting Schools Out, which may help bring more jobs into your city. Also build the Hadron Collider if you are prepared for a massive increase in unemployment, over time this will also fix it.

The other problem is Not enough buyers. This (as well as most other problems with industry) can be fixed by providing cargo transportation to your industry such as cargo trains, cargo harbours or, in the Industries DLC, cargo airports. Try and keep your cargo trains and passenger trains separate. Also take a look at your traffic.

Go to info views - People and see what percentage of your population is senior residents, if it's a high proportion then your citizens may have too many jobs to choose from, and them all dying may also explain your population decrease.
I would also randomly check around with your residential using the inspector, if the number of households is less than about two thirds the maximum that may be an issue too.

One third of the population that is capable for work is unemployed in your city. Why do you think anyone would want to live in such city?
You don't need more people, you need better public transport, easier access to workplace, better city organization in general.

The "problem" many new players have with CS is that the entire game revolves around micromanagement of almost any aspect you can imagine.
Many will say it's mostly about traffic, but it's not. Don't worry though, your next city will do better if you understand the mistakes from previous city.
