Bug - World Map Turns Black...mapmode dies

I encountered a rather strange thing earlier, not too major, but strange.

I was assigning a STR bomber wing to strat. bomb nuremberg and clicked on the region so that they could commence their mission.

Then, after i deselected said bomber wing, the map just turned black (as if i selected an air wing and everything was out of range for me, thus, i turned black)

I could still see the names and everything, just that every province in the world was smoky color and i didnt have anything selected.

The mapmode options were also dead from what i could see. Clicking on them did nothing as they seemed to be "not responding" thus leaving me with that black map. So i saved and reloaded and the map looks fine now. AFAIK, there wasnt anything much i could do to remidiate the situations besides save/reload.

I didnt see a thread about this, so im posting it here.

Anyone else ever had this type of problem before? Is it a known bug then?
I'll hope for a fix i guess.

Happened to me. Saved and rebooted at all was right with the world. It also happened during aircraft selection.

I've had the same experience once as well but didn't bother to report it as a bug since it was quickly solved by saving and reloading (I could select all my units but was kind of stuck in the "choose mission"-mode). /M

Had it a couple of times but there doesn't seem to be a way to replicate it. Save and reload works for me though.

Same here, but I manage to get it fix by clicking everywhere on map, icon, techtree, etc.

i did everyting, diplo screen, clicking on everything, toying with production pics...you know, the works. Yet, i got stuck with it and had to reload.

Happened to me once back with the original HOI2

Which means they havent fixed it yet and havent been able to...

Same here, in HOI2 and DD - happens rather seldomly though and I couldn't yet connect it to a special unit selection or similar.
