Can you have a look if these nations have mostly the same AE again Vijayanagar or if it gets much lower due to distance? I would like to know if this is caused by something which gives an insane amount of AE or by something which gives a flat amount of AE with all the countries which Vijayanagar can see(AFAIK it doesn't matter for AE if they can see Vijayanagar).

Then it is probably the "Request relative as heir" favors action. It gives 20 AE with the whole world and doing that 3 times in the spawn of about 4 years would lead to the 50 AE from your screenshot. I have no idea why Vijayanagar is so prone to do that though. I have seen many post about Vijayanagar specifically which got into a worldwide coalition.

This just seems like poor mechanics design. Why would Cologne care that Viyanagar put their heir on the throne of a minor Indian sultanate?
It's another Leviathan classic. Bugged and poorly designed. It's easier to say what isn't in this DLC.

It is indeed odd that is seems to always be Vijay who gets itself into these worldwide coalitions. Maybe we should have a contest to see who gets the most tags joining?

Wait Using a Favor Action gives AE? Why the hell would Paradox do that. Not to mention its a 20 flat AE worldwide wich is just insane. Nothing is deserving of global 20 AE unless you conquered all of Asia in 3 years.

The flat worldwide AE is almost certainly a bug, but I hold that having a nation accept dynasty for favors (or interacting with own subjects) count towards "aggressive" "expansion" is also objectively a bug, for any coherent interpretation of "aggressive expansion" as a concept.

Right now, you can get more AE from using accrued favors to place a relative than you do for acquiring 90 development of land via diplovassal or committing the act of declaring 5 simultaneous wars with "imperialism" as your casus belli. Maybe that's "WAD", but I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt on that.

Well, forcing heir is a terrible mechanic. They just tacked on the AE to make it seem not stupidly overpowered.

How would this be "overpowered", relative to alternative mechanics before 1.31, or even to other mechanics added in 1.31 like concentrate development/monuments?

WC records pre 1.31 are so fast that you couldn't even integrate a PU attained after first 20-30 years before the fastest SP players 1-tag. In MP, I can't imagine competitive games leaving large AI PU targets lying around and then not contesting this. So, what basis are we using to claim something is "overpowered"? Normally that designation is reserved for things that reliably outperform alternative choices.

Being allowed to do what pay to win missions do is just overpowered. PUs should just remain pure RNG wich you basically cant influence in any reasonable way except for savescumming.

Lack of scaling is either band aid design or code that didn't work properly.
It costs 90 favours but PUs are some of the easiest subjects to hold, and those 90 favours could have been gained by calling your ally into a war, then granting them all the land they wanted from that person.

It's also pointless for non-Christian tags, since they can't even enter into personal unions down the line. 20 flat AE with everybody and their mothers for what? A +15 same dynasty opinion modifier? Meanwhile all the relative spamming probably creates coalitions and coalition wars, which I suspect are the cause of the stuttering and general performance drop that came with the 1.31 patch.

I cant agree with your reasoning. Only a very small amount of players can get WC that fast. Any average player can abuse favor mechanics looking for PU.

And yes, concentrate dev and monuments are terribly designed. Concentrate should be nerfed just to become a bad feature. Right now it is simply broken.
