HI, I report something

I found something, When i make colonies in region where the animism is the religion, The colonies have Animist state Religion it's requier A majority of catholic province to set the good state religion. But When i do colonies in other religions like nahualt, inti, or Totemist. Even if all the provinces are pagans, the state religion will be Catholic.
Why the animist is doing this ?

Have a nice day and hope it's help

New World colonies get their culture and religion overwritten once the colony is established. Old World colonies (Africa and Indonesia) get overwritten when the colony finishes, provided the colonist is present when the colony finishes, and there are less than 1000 natives in the province.

I mean State Colony, you known like Brasil. What i say is when i complete a Colony in Brasil where the provinces are animist, the state religion of brazil woulf be animist. But When i do the same on a Totemist or Nahualt provinces, even if the provinces are pagans the state religion of colony would be catholic

From what I recall, New World colonies get their state religion upon formation based on the majority in their provinces, *if the religion exists in the Old World*. Since Animist also exists in the Old World, it is possible for them to acquire it upon forming, unlike the only-American religions, like Inti or Mayan.
