Not sure if this is a bug or just another feature I'm not recognizing. But my empire's de jure land keeps on getting reset at random moments. I've made all the kingdoms in my land de jure of the empire but they've been reset. This would also reset even if the process is incomplete.

Unless you're using some other mod on top of that, I've no idea what would cause it (never seen or heard of it before), though perhaps the new de jure empire fix will deal with it. We'll have to see.

So I ran into a bug when using the restore roman empire decision from LoR. When I activated it, all my vassals were suddenly independent, I didn't get the title despite the title history of the roman empire claiming I did and my viceroys were still somehow viceroys with me as the heir.

The one listed on the main thread at least. The steam download didn't work so used the alternate download. As for a save I'd have to check, but probably don't have one from right before since I didn't think of it at the time. I'll get back to you tomorrow after work about it.

EDIT: The only thing I can think of on my end that could've done it might be if cheats could've affected it since I was fooling around to check out the differences before diving into a proper playthrough.

So I cannot seem to play the new version of CK2 plus as it crashes to desktop. I been able to start the 2.4 without CK2plus, and it runs perfectly. So I have been waiting, and playing CK2plus on 2.3.6 since that still works.

Is it an issue with the updates in 2.4 in general or something else?

Short version: the next version should be less prone to crashes.

I have the very same problem; while I use a custom submod, it only redraws the roman province borders and some duchies a bit and nothing more so it shouldn't be causing this.

What? That sounds like it should most definitely be the cause....
It isn't, I tested it without, same matter - though I filed this report before I saw 3.9.2 was out, so I'll try it again

Ok so I didn't have one just before so I did a quick test setup to repeat the bug. Same thing happened this time as well minus the independent thing since I had a king title(still lost the roman empire title) this time. I got a save just before using it and just after. Want me to give you a link to the zip file in a PM?

Ok so I didn't have one just before so I did a quick test setup to repeat the bug. Same thing happened this time as well minus the independent thing since I had a king title(still lost the roman empire title) this time. I got a save just before using it and just after. Want me to give you a link to the zip file in a PM?

Not sure if it was an issue with the way you consoled up all the territories needed for the decision or whether this was an issue with the de jure empires (the one causing all our crashes) -- either way, I was able to repeat the issue with your save but not with a new game doing the exact same thing. So, whatever the issue was, it seems to be working OK using the newest version.

It'd be rather odd if the console commands were the reason. The only one that should affect the title itself would be the laws, but then in CK2 I've seen a lot of weird bugs. Could be the de jure thing or the download could've been corrupted. Since it happened both times I made a new game and all. Really really -really- weird either way.

Really really -really- weird either way.

Considering the other reports we've had of de jure empire weirdness, my supposition (without knowing precisely whether those issues were reported using the 2.4.3 Beta) is that some de jure bugs were fixed by Paradox in the beta that added an extra layer of problems to CK2Plus's setup of having no de jure empires at game start. Which is fine, as it's possible this has been a source of crashes since...well, since I started on the mod, so discovering the source now will save us headaches in the long run.

The only issue will be people using old saves with the new version. Can't stop them, as it's technically compatible, but it does mean a lot of weird bugs in the future. That said, it does seem as if the de jure weirdness is gone in its entirety if you simply start a new game.

Interesting. I'll wait and see if it works better when the patching is further along to use this mod.
