Right, changed it to just need the two titles rather than complete control of them (since it was bugging me), and... uh... e_hre_french is now the Empire's name? That seems weird.

Why is there no effect?

Is it WAD that different rulers in Ireland own bishoprics and/or baronies in other counties not owned by them? It looks really curious currently.

The cultures in Northwest africa are pretty messy also. Will try to fix it myself and post a fix.

EDIT: Actually the cultures in the middle east and africa are a huge mess in general. Znága and Aznáta; who are these people? And then there is culture in Egypt named after candy, Misr is better. would be better just to distinguish. West africans are named after a piece of clothing, Tagelmust, but they are actually Tuareg or Imuhagh as they call themselves. They are also not black, but berbers. It is a bit concerning to see the Almohad Empire ruled by africans. Almoravids/Almohads were probably Masmuda, which also require a new name. I guess the Maghreb are arabs who settled along the coast, but it is still sort of an inaccurate name. Not sure if there's something more suitable.

The Ibadi religion in North Africa should probably be restricted to Al-Quyala, Ghardaiya and Figug. At least in 1066 scenario. The last Ibadis fled to that general area. Speaking of which, Oman should be completely Ibadi if you ask me in 1066. Maybe turkish ruler but yeah. And to perhaps ensure it doesn't just die out they could have some sheikhs. Béja should probably be christian, but I question if it should even have a country of its own. They were sort of tribes and all that.

I don't understand why most muslim dynasties start with "banu" now, as in "of." The only one which doesn't have this at the start of the game is apparently the Seljuks. It feels sort of weird.

Finally the capital of Fatamids is not in cairo but a random pagan province. Seems like a bug.

EDIT EDIT: I am not really sure if Danish culture in England should be so widespread either.

Where do I look to see ambitions the criteria for fulfilling them? I ask for a couple of reasons:

1) Sometimes I forget what the fulfillment condition is and the tool-tip doesn't show that after it's in effect (could I just cancel and immediately reselect it?).

2) I don't know if this ambition is coming from part of HIP or not. I have the option to choose the ambition "Increase Demesne". It says for the success condition that one of the following must be true:

a) Has the trait 'Incapable'
b) Is NOT a ruler
c) Demesne Efficiency less than 100.0%

Those all seem, at least to me, to be the exact opposite of what I would consider success.

Playing with PB and SWMH (plus the compatability module). At every start date I've checked there are some incorrectly "empty" provinces in East Africa. c_nubia and c_hayya have owners but no holdings, which leads to various sorts of diplomatic weirdness (no DoW, provinces appear on map as part of their larger kingdom but the characters are "independent", etc). Solved this problem for my own game via cheating to gain the titles and then building holdings in the capital slot manually, but thought I should report it anyways.

Hmm, SWMH fellas? Or is this on our side? If a province isn't worth a capital holding being built by default at all, it probably isn't worth an extra province, right? I mean, I certainly don't want to account for county titles that have no de jure vassal titles or province_capitals in CB code, e.g. Before I look for myself, perhaps the appropriate specialist will chime-in.

That said, I imagine this is indeed a bug, but it is probably a WIP placeholder issue on the East African work. Nothing too game-breaking, thankfully. Thanks for the heads-up.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure whether you can access the tooltip for fulfillment conditions after selecting the ambition. Hopefully the description text and name is enough to make it clear. You can't cancel immediately and reselect due to a cooldown the game puts on doing just that. Longer answer: you can change this cooldown to 0 in defines.lua under ... oh, search for "AMBITION" in there, and you'll find it soon enough. The unit is in years (CANCEL_AMBITION_YEARS? I forget). If you do set it to 0, you can always change ambitions whenever you please, for edification or otherwise.

Hmm, it could be a tooltip gone horribly wrong. As in, it should all be wrapped in a big NOT = { } block. That is, if anyone of those were to become true, the ambition would fail to succeed. However, even then, the logic seems funny (momentarily going over your demesne limit should not make an ambition fail, if there's any HIP polish about), so I've got to question your external mod usage for certain here.

You, sir, are posting in the wrong thread to get the feedback for which you're looking. The SWMH thread is probably where you want to be.

Getting a lot of CTD s while playing as norse pagan.

I fear CK II is not made to sustain such a big map as SMHW s....what will you do when India will be added? Many PC s barley run the mod as it is,if they add India it will be unplayable even for mid range PC s..

in SWMH alone these 2 provinces definitely do have holdings so I have no idea where is the problem.
Though I must admit that now for some time I am not using the current version, but the next one to be released (in which nothing has been changed in these 2 provinces).
Maybe a compatibility version uses old province history files instead of new ones, which got completely new set of holdings? Could be the reason for more such problems across East Africa.

I have extremely weak computer and it takes me 5-10 minutes to load the game(even with vanilla), but once I start, the game runs more or less smoothly.

In fact I am looking forward RoI expansion as it will optimize the game. We will do our best to make everything work fine.
