Winning a crusade with pope as your vassal does nothing. I had 2 occasion where I fought a crusade and occupied target region, and pope won the war, only to have the infidel kingdom in the place intact with no new kingdoms being formed.

Playing with or without Shattered Balance? It is only really meant to be used as part of Shattered Balance.

Without, but I was only using it as a stopgap measure anyway. And the ruler apparently decided dying is for other people, as he's now over 100. :O

Have honestly avoided shattered balance due to this, since nobody having immortal = cascade of title changes.

In other news, I can confirm GHW's aren't transferring land for Zoroastrians either. Or boosting MA.

So, I've been playing as a Catholic Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. For obvious reasons, I've vassalized the Pope.

For less obvious reasons, however, the Pope would occasionally stop being my vassal.

I think I identified what causes the problem:

The above, in the Imperial Reconquest cassus belli, also seems to de-vassalize the Pope, if he happens to be your vassal. I'm pretty sure that's not the intended behavior.

Good point. I never thought about the case where the user of the Imperial Reconquest CB would actually have the Catholic Pope as vassal, in which case the purpose of that code snippet is moot anyway. Is anyone getting events during summer fairs? I run them year after year and nothing has been happening during them. I even though that the latest PDS patch guaranteed at least one event.

Winning a Catholic crusade period is broken. That's why a comprehensive hotfix release is coming out tomorrow.

Sometimes characters randomly generated via decision/event will be slightly younger than 16, it happens in vanilla too I believe.

Great mod so far. Probably my new favorite (All modules but SWMH)

However, I was very disappointed when in my Ironman game (started as Magnus IV with intent of converting to EU4), when the game apparently decided Swedish is not North Germanic and I am unable to form the Kalmar Union after hours of grinding to achieve the necessary piety and gold.

I think I've determined the cause of this issue (losing Immortal upon reload-- and religious conversion too, at the least). This commit, which will make it into today's hotfix, should fix it:

Fixed bug with disappearing Immortal trait upon reload or conversion

I didn't allocate time to test it in-game, although I'm pretty damn sure this is the cause of the issue you're experiencing. It's due to an outdated mechanism of preventing the trait from being assigned randomly to new characters.

Yeah, GHWs, Jihads, and Crusades all use the same CB, and they're all screwed-up completely in the latest release by undefined parser state. Fixed in the beta since early this week.

Great mod so far. Probably my new favorite (All modules but SWMH)

However, I was very disappointed when in my Ironman game (started as Magnus IV with intent of converting to EU4), when the game apparently decided Swedish is not North Germanic and I am unable to form the Kalmar Union after hours of grinding to achieve the necessary piety and gold.

This appears to be due to a bug where the North Germanic culture group is duplicated, essentially; it should be fixed in the hofix (which should be out later today, hopefully). For now, you can just go to "mod/Historical Immersion Project/common/cultures" and delete "PB_cultures."
