I'm not sure if this counts but too many characters are dying from being imprisoned. This seems to because cause of the improved genetics thing that made more characters to have health less than 5. Either the baseline health needs to increase or house arrest needs to become the default method of imprisonment. This whole thing is exacerbated by the peculiar way ai fight wars. Nobody seems to fight pitch battles and instead only want to besiege the other's territories.

Funnily enough, my experience in my current game is exactly the opposite. As a Byz emperor I have noticed that most of my prisoners live on for years on end in the dungeon, which stretches on to decades if they are put in the oubilette. Yes, the oubliette for me is some sort of deep freezer which keeps people alive. It's recurrent, but the best one was when I had a bunch of rebel counts stashed in the oubliette for decades: one died after 28 years in there, two more lasted beyond 20, every single one made it past the decade mark. All of them were malnourished and insane, but kept on living.

So I have no idea how it happened, it just came outta nowhere.

All of the coat of arms for the various dynasties in my game are wrong, for example, the Asturia king has what appears to be the Byzantine COA, and the Byzantine COA is just pure white.

I am lost on how it happened, any idea on where to start on solving this?

I'm using the latest one.

[HIP Release 2019-05-18 (Furry7)]
EMF: Extended Mechanics & Flavor (v9.06 - 2019-05-18)
Arumba and Internal Tab Shortcuts (2019-05-18)
ARKO Interface (2019-05-17)
SWMH (v3.26 - 2019-05-17)
ARKO Armoiries (2019-05-17)
LTM (C - 2019-05-17)
CPRplus (v3.0.5 - 2019-04-21)

And I'm using other mods, but I have been using them before this occurred, anything that did conflict with HIP overall have been off.

Did you try to manually delete the cache files in ~\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\HIP\gfx\flags?
This is for COA, will that still work?

My bad, I've actually missed the dynasties part, probably it doesn't help, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try. Does this issue happen with new games or only when opening a save file?

Furry7 isn't the latest one, Golden 1 is the latest version; are you by chance running it with 3.2.1? Not sure if it can cause similar issues but Furry 7 isn't supposed to be compatible with 3.2/3.2.1.

It happened just yesterday, I was wanted to try doing a non HIP run again, realized that it was such a pain in the ass setting up a custom game.

And when I went back to HIP plus with SWMH and the map, the dynasty COA were messed up.

Oh, I mistook the previous version part as downloads, which is kinda accurate, doubt it will fix it but I might as well try.

Edit: Just updated it, problem still occurring.

I'm playing as the Byzantine Empire on the second tier of the Imperial Conquest CB and I've noticed that after a recent succession I can only use the CB if my ruler possesses the "strong" trait. I found this strange considering he is "brawny" already but decided to add the trait with the console. However, when hovering over the CB it still shows the requirement of needing the "strong" trait as being unfulfilled...

I have a problem with tree models. They are all messed up: there are deciduous trees in Iceland and Siberia, mediterranean trees in Scotland, pine trees in Africa etc.

Models dont correspnd to trees.bmp file and some are missing.
I reinstaled the mod multiple Times with various sub-mods turned on and off. The problem seems to be with SWMH

hmmm that's weird. I'll have to check it later though.

Here's one earlier example that it seems was replied to but not sure if resolved.

I just enacted the max CA law as the byzantine emperor which modifiers state that I will have a -20 opinion for my feudal vassals. This is working except I have the same "Absolute Crown Authority" -20 opinion on the majority of characters within my diplo range from counts to emperors. Only using the "More Cultural Names" submod and HIP Golden 1.

This is a vanilla bug with all crown law opinions since 3.0/HF. Not sure if it's display-only or their opinions are actually affected in this way.

Game is crashing whenever I try to start a run in the Age of Normans bookmark. In the earliest one it works fine, yet when I select that specific bookmark it simply crashes when saving. If I try Ironman, the save it creates on game start is completely empty, and on the load screen shows as a broken savegame.

Any other bookmark appears to be working just fine, which makes this even weirder.

The dump created on crash has 0xC0000005 as its exception code, the info beind "The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access". I imagine this is somewhat of a generic error as the other bookmarks work and I'm running the game with admin privileges.

On the exceptions.log file I got this:
######## EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005 at address: 0x00DA662E: ACCESS VIOLATION read attempt to address 0x0000000C

Version file (tested on both 3.2.1 and 3.2.0):
[HIP Release 2019-05-30 (Golden1)]
EMF: Extended Mechanics & Flavor (v10.0 - 2019-05-30)
Arumba and Internal Tab Shortcuts (2019-05-18)
ARKO Interface (2019-05-28)
SWMH (v3.27 - 2019-05-17)
MiniSWMH: Performance-Friendly SWMH (v1.6.1 - 2019-05-30)
ARKO Armoiries (2019-05-28)
LTM (C - 2019-05-17)
CPRplus (v3.0.5 - 2019-04-21)

No other mods installed. No changes to the base game. I've tried reinstalling the mod, the game, and even Windows 10 (for unrelated reasons, but still, didn't help in this).

I'm kinda lost. Can of course just play in another bookmark, but it seems so weird that this happens only in that one. Are there any special events after its start? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I'm really curious what's going on here - I was checking the title history for the counties of Cyprus and each one has 3 pages of this, all identical on the exact same day. This was the date a crusade that formed the Latin Empire won so I assume it's connected but none of the other Byzantine titles I checked had it. This was from the Height of Jerusalem start. i have a save but it's in 1180 so maybe not useful.

This issue was reported some time ago but I don't know if it was dealt with. From most of the negative crown laws their negative opinion effects are applied to everyone in the world not just your vassals.
I was able to file this issue with Paradox and have it prioritized for resolution.
