I cannot seem to be able to pillage holdings, I am playing as tribal berber ruler (canaries). I have tribal holdings built in the countries where I should be able to pillage. Did HIP move or change pillaging mechanics in any way that would prevent me from pillaging compared to vanilla?

Edit: Nvm I see tribal governments are not allowed to pillage in HIP

As the result of my invasion of Leon, I held that kingdom, and my father held a county in France. He was in a revolt (NOT the leader) against the French king. Upon his death, I inherited the county - and also the revolt status. I can't declare war on anyone, not least the French king I'm theoretically revolting against.

The revolt has been going on 3-5 years now (he's been dead for 3 of them.) I feel like there should be a clean up event taking care of something like this, by now, at least.

(I was attempting to use a submod, but it wasn't actually working, so I'm fairly certain this is vanilla HIP. Just disclaiming this, if the behavior seems totally busted. Submod was "Improved Genetics")

Playing with HIP Release 2019-02-14 (Furry1) with all modules except ArkoInterface one, Used a intrigue plot to revoke a baron tier vassals title and when he rebelled he spawned with 150k event units, don't know if it's a bug or just plain bad luck with rng.

This is 100% a hardcoded issue. We have zero control over "in revolt" status. It's actually been quite infuriating for our modding ambitions, but alas.

Playing with HIP Release 2019-02-14 (Furry1) with all modules except ArkoInterface one, Used a intrigue plot to revoke a baron tier vassals title and when he rebelled he spawned with 150k event units, don't know if it's a bug or just plain bad luck with rng.

That's definitely insane. There seems to be a bug in the game introduced with patch 3.0 that insanely inflates troop spawn counts when they're attempting to match a character's available troops (the usual way to spawn event troops). I don't understand it yet, but I've seen evidence of it in a few places. Normally, as a player revoking a medium-development barony -- especially if you move your troops over the province that the barony is in ahead of time, you WILL run into some inflated troop counts (this is a balance measure, or we'd have to remove plot-revocation of baronies as vanilla does), but those numbers were like 5-8k -- not 150k, slightly different.

Using Furry1 all default options. I became the emperor of the HRE through election. However i received the message title loss of sucession of ALL my holdings to the would be next emperor. it was confusing because anybody but him wouldn't make me lose all my holdings, only the empire. He was not my heir, being a Salian family member and i a Hohenstaufen. He became bishop of a holding so he became ineligible. My son was able to be elected and when he took the throne he could apoint his son as heir. After a period of time suddenly my son could not be appointed anymore. i gave him duchies and kingdoms to no avail. i noticed also that only a few vassals could be nominated to be elected, none of my family memebers where eligible though. My son has a vassal inheritance warning even though he has only One son and his kingdom is in Agnatic Gavelkind

Hello guys, when i was playing as duke of Bohemia/Czechy and later as king of Bohemia, which was subject of HRE, my son asked me to join imperial court. It was okay for me but my liege immediately forced him to become monk and thus disqualify him from my succession....

You can't request an Imperial Coronation if you're already crowned. This is an issue when restoring the Byzantine Empire, as you can't gain Strong/Weak Basileus traits and lose access to Imperial Reconquest/Invasion CB.

EDIT: there also doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to vassalize the restored Ecumenical Patriarchate if you've restored the empire first. You can grant the patriarch c_byzantion, then press the IR CB, and finally reclaim c_byzantion by decision, but that seems really cheesy

View attachment 452735 Hi, I'm running the default modules and a couple of other mods but none that should change the character menu, but when I go to look at characters it looks like this.
Each of those ledger boxes is supposed to be some icon or image on the character menu. I saw this happen for some people right after HF was released and they were still using old graphics or UI mods. Whatever mods you have, they are not all compatible.

This decision is currently unavailable if you are a Christian due to a combination of two bugs: the scope is checking the wrong character and the "dlc_religion_check_trigger" gives the wrong result for Christians.

I posted bug reports for both issues that you can check out for more details:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...lations_religion-has-incorrect-scope.1132252/
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...r-does-not-return-yes-for-christians.1132244/

As long as you are not a Christian you should be able to use the decision without issues.

Vanilla bugs that get carried over to HIP. Just want to let you know that we currently can't secretly convert to our spouse's religion.

Hey so I think Norse honorary titles are broken -- Hirdman and Marksedr (sp?) positions cannot be filled. The requirements just say "one of the following must be true:" with no traits. It's almost certainly bugged. I tagswitched to several Norse AI rulers and none of them have any appointed.

Imperial Reconquest CB is not available as a Hellenic Emperor of a restored Rome. When I convert to Orthodox I get access to the CB again, switch back it's gone again. Is the CB being restricted to Christians WAD?

Has anyone else noticed the AI kingdoms going broke? I'm 40 odd years into the 1018 bookmark and better than half of the kingdoms in the world are 100's of gold in the negative and owing every tier of loan. I've never seen that behavior before.

The trigger "emf_cb_is_war_blocked_by_laws " in the "emf_cb_triggers.txt" prevents an independent king to declare war if he himself passes the king's peace law.
emf_cb_is_war_blocked_by_laws = {
independent = no (this line should be added)
tier = KING
crownlaw_title = {
has_law = king_peace_2
owner = { is_liege_of = PREVPREV }
}
}
Similar issue exists when the crown law opinion penalty applies to feudal lords OUTSIDE the realm, which makes zero sense anyway.

(maybe the "feudal_opinion = -20" line is changed by somewhere in this mod so that it applies to ALL feudal lords, not just direct vassals.)
