I understand what you meant now, D. Knight, however that will not work either. On Mac, inside the CK2 (directory, or folder?) directory, you have your save games. Also, if you have mods, when you start a new game, a folder with the names of many of mods is created. Those, from my experience, contain modded saves. After I deleted my modded saves I emptied my trash, but thanks for trying:).

Ok, here are screenshots from my latest playthrough. As you can see, the Crown Authority laws are nowhere to be found.

Maybe it's just you and me, but I've gone back to vanilla after experiencing this and still have the exact same problem. I think Paradox made it so that only kings and above can do crown authority, and the amount of laws you can control gets smaller the less important you are.

Yeah... that would make sense, however, it doesn't explain my earlier problem of not being able to take High Crown Authority. Although, I do wonder if that also involves an unwritten rule.

Okay, here is the latest screenshot from my game. I am King of Turkestan, and the Crown Authority laws are under Vassal Obligations.
Do you have any other mod installed? And, if this not your first time installing HIP, did you completely empty the old "modules" folder before reinstalling HIP?

Yeah, I have other mods installed, although I do not understand how any of those could be a problem. The only mod I have had (had, as in past tense) the could have been a problem was Flogi's Tech mod on Steam. As for emptying the modules folder, I have uninstalled, deleted my mods (inclu. HIP) multiple times and then re-installed... So there is a chance I could have bungled that.

When you say, "empty", the modules folder, what do you mean? Because I just tried the un-install, delete, and re-install trick and it didn't work. I deleted HIP and all it's attachments before re-installing, and then deactivated any mods I thought would be problematic. However, I am still encountering the same issues.

I'm getting CTDs on startup, just before loading the menu. I tried reinstalling the mod, leaving out a different module until it worked. I can load the game if I don't have Arkopack.
Here's my version.txt for my working setup:
[HIP Release 2018-06-21 (Hydra6)]
EMF: Extended Mechanics & Flavor (v8.06 - 2018-06-21)
Arumba and Internal Tab Shortcuts (2018-06-16)
SWMH (v3.12 - 2018-06-21)
LTM (C - 2017-12-09)
CPRplus (v2.9.4 - 2018-05-02)
I'm not using any other mods.

I also crash when I try to start a new game and I can't figure out which module is causing this.

Edit: I cannot start a new game if I have EMF enabled. I tested with 1066 start and default rules

Okay so I'm not sure if this counts as a bug or not due to the altering of files but I followed the steps for making basegame CPRplus compatible with Ironman and two things happened:

1. The Norse portraits have reverted to base game selves

2. No matter what Indian culture a character belongs to they use the Dravidian base game portraits

Is this because there are files in the common folder of CPRplus that are need to be moved?

Getting this error anytime I try to run the Python file. I'm on manjaro linux.
You'll need to install Python 2. This error comes from running Python 2 code in Python 3.

So. sigh. I made a terrible mistake and attempted CK2+ with the CPRplus compatch. After coming back to HIP, many of the faces are distorted. I've tried a clean install of the game, and still portrait distortion. Any idea what could be floating around causing this?

EDIT: seems to only be French culture portraits that are completely distorted, but others look like they're from the CK2+ compatch still..?
