I'm thinking this is a vanilla issue and not HIP related but will ask here first. Using PB, SWMH, ARKO, NBRT, VIET (-immersion).

Playing as King of Alba and have secured claims in Eire for Mormaerdom of Ulaidh and Earldom Mide.

My vassal, Mormaer Gilla-Patriac has a claim on Overkingdom of Osriage, and my vassal Earl Domnall has a claim on Overkingdom of Ui Neill.

High King Brian II has consolidated all of Eire under his rule.

I have the option to declare war and Press all Claims.

After defeating King Brian II and sending him a peace offer to Enforce Demands he accepts, but I only receive Mormaerdom of Ulaidh and Earldom Mide. My vassals do not receive their land claims that were supposed to be pressed in the war.

If anyone could provide some information on why the Press all Claims didn't work I would greatly appreciate it.

Pressing all claims only presses all of your personal claims. DeJure or vassal claims still have to be pressed individually It definitely could be worded better - I had the same reaction the first time. But yes I believe that resides in Vanilla.

It's vanilla, aye, and WAD.

Press All Claims- presses all of your own personal claims that are also strong claims (i.e., weak claims don't count) to which the defender or a vassal of the defender holds. The menu displayed when you select Press All Claims shows the titles which meet this criteria. Personal weak claims, vassal claims (i.e., de jure or because they have an actual claim), and third-party claims in general (i.e., personal strong/weak claims held by a courtier) all must be pressed individually.

Kingdoms within Kingdoms:-

Playing with all 5 standard modular inclusions to HIP:-

I formed the Duchy of Oberlothringen which is classed as a seperate kingdom...Yet I have no powers to press any crown laws, even though I have factions within my `kingdom`, insisting I lower crown authority...e.g. one insisted I drop crown authority to `no title revocation` [I wish I had it!]

I am still atm, part of the HRE, and do not really wish to go independent quite yet.

When you say all five standard inclusions to hip, do you also mean VIET Immesion or SWMH, because the two are currently incompatible and cannot be run together.

Playing without SWMH as I intend to convert to EU4:

I created a character to play as, a Siculo-Arabic Hurufi-Moslem in Sicily. Right now, it's been about 100, 120 years so (around 1175) and I've, so far, managed to convert Rome and another 9 or so provinces to Hurufi, as well as create the Hurufi Caliphate (one reason I chose this heresy)

One problem: Shia has about 4 provinces, I have about 10. However, Hurufi is still considered a Heresy of Shia Islam.

It was my understanding that you only needed to have 5 more provinces than your parent-religion to usurp them as the base religion?

I'm not entirely sure what's going on here, whether it's a vanilla bug or a HIP bug, or if the fact that I created the Caliphate first is bugging it, or whether it's WAD and you just took out (for whatever ungodly reason) the heresy-parent switching mechanic, or whether you just changed the requirements, I don't know, I couldn't find any information on switching at all, let alone any changes made or previous bug-reports...

Are you sure there's exactly at least five more provinces, and no random province you missed?

Anyways to my knowledge either way none of the HIP mods change how this works, and i believe it's all hardcoded anyways so we can't chNge it even if we wanted to.

No Im not running the VIET immersion part...I have the traits and events but not the immersion...the installer actually stops you from installing that part, if you have previously installed SWMH

Edit: When I went independent, I was then able to pass crown laws, but until then, I was just a glorified Duke, with annoyed vassals...

I used the Ledger to check the province-count. I can take a screenshot. Unless the ledger can be wrong?

Maybe it's wrong, who knows. Perhaps try console cheating to give the hurufis more provinces just to make sure. Anyhow, as mentioned previously, though, this is probably not an issue with any HIP mod, we can't change or tweak how that works to my knowledge.

I don't know if this is a bug or belongs here or what. It's more of a question and I was referred here from the CK2 Q&A since I'm using HIP.

Both my character and his wife are count level rulers, but in different realms. We both have gavelkind succession and we have one son. When he was first born he was showing as heir to both of his parents, replacing their current heirs (mine was my brother). Recently, my heir has switched back to my brother. Why is my son no longer my heir? And when my second son was born, why did he become my heir?

Did one of the realms change to disallow external inheritance? I've seen that cause odd projections that change a bit at inheritance (but usually only in the secondary heir). But sometimes when they change the window says something slightly different that corrects when reloaded.

1) I can't seem to tell what the laws are for my wife's kingdom. I thought I could see this info by using de Jure kingdom map mode, but when I hover over her kingdom all it has is two lines: Kingdom of Alba and Kingdom of Capital. My kingdom allows external inheritance.

2) Since our oldest son is in my court and was originally showing as heir for both of us, how would a kingdom changing to allow external inheritance have changed who the heirs are, and why would she get the oldest son?

3) When you say "reloaded" do you mean reloading the save game? I've tried that and it doesn't change my heir.

I really want this oldest son to inherit my county, if not both mine and hers.

1. Console switch?

2. Yes... that is the strange part, unless counties can be more prestigious than others the same way Kingdoms can? But I have never heard of that happening.

Still none of that helps the problem, which I agree with you is odd it would seem that he should inherit both.

I don't know if this is related to the mod or not, I feel like it has to be. I tried to load the game with no mods, and it crashes every time after I hit start game before even the paradox load screen, but as soon as I check for the game to start with this mod and this mod only, it starts no problem. Any idea what is up?

Not sure which one's causing the issue here but all Orthodox Temples, regardless of culture are called Eparchies, and all Orthodox Priests are Eparchs

On what I suspect might be a related note, the history file for the Byzantine Emperor title appears a little...odd, as I've just recently inherited the throne as Ioustinos V; I've never had a ruling Basileus called Ioustinos, so accordingly, he should have been Ioustinos III.
Took me a while to figure out what I was looking at, but it appears Ioustinianos was counted as a variation of Ioustinos, effectively making Ioustinianos I Ioustinos II, Ioustinos II Ioustinos III, and Ioustinianos II Ioustinianos IV!

I'm currently playing with all modules on except VIET Immersion (because of SWMH incompatibility).

I turned on 'No Ahistorical Empires' on day 1 and proceeded to play. Every time I hover over the creation button for the Empire of Hispania, the game crashes.

Very specific issue to report: Playing PB+SWMH+VIET as Dyre the Stranger at 867 start (ie the other Norseman in Russia). Like his pal Rurik farther up the rivers, he starts out with a big starter stack of troops and boats to go a-pillagin, but unlike Rurik none of his counties have ports, so after he fills up his boats with ill-gotten gains he's got nowhere to land. So all he can do is sit there on the shore and stare at his boats full of loot. Novgorod starts at 867 with a Castle Shipyard, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get Kiev to start with the same. Help?

Edit: Ok, I figured it out. You need to remove the Dneiper from the default.map major_rivers list. That defines bordering counties as coastal, allowing them to build coastal buildings and more importantly in my case for boats full of booty to land. I really recommend doing this, otherwise it's sort of silly for Dyre to start out with a bunch of boats he can't use.

I can confirm this. Spot checking some others - Brittania, France, Rus, Italy all still pull up the creation requirements. Espana crashes the game.

ok. Small followup on Espana.

It appears that the landed_titles file has the creation/usurpation triggers BEFORE any of the dejure kingdoms, and when you remove the dejure kingdoms it wipes out the triggers. When I move the triggers to the end of the dejure kingdoms it does not crash and brings up a list of what is required - though the list did look a little funny (did not have a cultural restriction.

My problem is that I THINK it is the PB+SWMH folder that gets the final say on this file (Ziji's new tracer will be good for that)?? Since I am not certain I am not sure if the PB+SWMH file needs to change or the SWMH file needs to change (actually probably both...) and since I am not certain if the conditions are right with the way that I did it, I did not try to put together a formal solution to pull in.

But it does work and not crash things if the creation conditions are moved to the end of the dejure kingdoms ( I do not say the end of e_iberia as there is the titular SWMH Spain that comes in after the dejure kingdoms also).

So I've noticed a problem... and I'm not sure if its just me or not, but I'm looking at the map and there are allot of grey spoldges where I assume there should be sand on all the edges of terrain that is boarding sea... is this a common thing? have I installed it incorrectly? Or is it a glitch with the NBRT+ mod?
