There's a lot of inconsistency in the Jewish religious titles:
- Theocratic barony is a "Synagogue", led by a Rabbi - OK
- Theocratic county is a "Beth din" (rabbinical court) led by a Great Rabbi - Beth Din is a strange choice (why a court? Why not a Great Synagogue to go with Great Rabbi?), and it should be led by a "Dayan" (rabbinical judge). Also, note the language switch - "Synagogue" was in English, "Beth din" is in Hebrew.
- Theocratic duchy is "Lesser Sanhedrin", led by... Melech? "Melech" is literally king, same as non-theocratic, so why is the title different? And Sanhedrin is a very bad choice - it's just a council of rabbinical judges. Even a "Lesser Rabbinate" would be a better choice.
- Theocratic kingdom continues the trend with "Greater Sanhedrin" lead by "Melech haMelachim". A King-of-Kings leads a rabbinical council. Again, note the languages - "Greater", but "haMelachim".
Interestingly, vanilla title for duchy- and king-level rabbis are "Rabban" (particularly learned and respected rabbi) and "Nasi" (head of an organization, e.g. the Sanhedrin); both are a much better fit for the Sanhedrins than the secular "Melech".

And the reason for me looking in the localization files was a Messalian female prince-bishop appearing as "Countess", both for the county and for another bishopric she held.

Are people getting the Famous Beauty trait? Or did they start with it when you loaded the save?

If it's the latter, it would point to some kind of save incompatibility...which really shouldn't be an issue, unless you have some other mod involved which adds traits (and thus affects the index). If we did accidentally make saves incompatible, that'd be good to know.

If it's the former...well, that would indeed be something.

Ah, that would do it.

By "index" I mean the # which is assigned to each trait in a save game. This is taken from the list of traits as they occur in the common\traits folder...so the only way to make another mod save-compatible with an HIP update (where traits are added, which happens fairly frequently) would be to make sure the file with the other mod's traits comes "between" the ones HIP had previously and the new ones added.

Generally when we say an update is save compatible, that presupposes you are not using some other mod on top of HIP - particularly one which adds traits. If you are, then you are on your own in terms of figuring out how to make them work together.

I started a game in 8xx as the duke of Flanders and to fool around I asked indulgence for my (many) sins. I got a blank note in return and the game froze. Never had this problem in HIP (but then again I never asked for it yet)

So, don't know if you'd call this a bug but my province view is all kinds of messed up.

I've tried with installing just SWMH, ArkoPack, and not installing them. Also checked to see if vanilla works fine, which it does.

e: Seem to be a general interface issue, a lot of character icons and such are also kind of misaligned.

I only installed the EMF portion of HIP and I cannot make it past the loading screen.

How do I upload at comprehensive report to help best diagnose my problem?

Edit to add: here is the report I'm getting from HIP

I have an issue with the EMF Beta, or at least it appears to be with that one.

[HIP Release 2016-10-12 (Hades3)]

CPRplus (v2.6.2 - 2016-10-10)

WARNING: Some installed files do not match their released version.

For comparison, I have a clean install of Hades3 which does not have this issue. Both versions run a tooltip mod which changes the font to Verdana 16pt and nothing else.

Further, I have made minor changes to the following files in BOTH versions:

wol_seduction_events.txt
way_of_life_decisions.txt
succession_laws.txt
00_dynasties.txt
emf_defines.lua (only change is to the probability of inbred/lunatic traits from inbreeding).

The actual issue is that the message settings are wonky with EMF Beta 6.03, as in I can't change settings for win and loss messages to "pause upon popup". I can change them for myself, but the game still doesn't pause when I win a battle/siege, and when I change them to pause for "persons of interest" they immediately change back to "no pause."

I have no idea what causes this. Again, I have two different versions of Hades3 installed (with different custom folder names, of course), both identical as far as my personal changes go, yet one version works ("clean" Hades3), while the other (Hades3 + EMF Beta 6.03) doesn't.

I have tried both with a save game started in "clean" Hades3 and one started in Hades3+EMF Beta 6.03. Both exhibit the same behavior.

Post Edit: Thinking that it might just possibly be something to do with the modules and the fact that I'd done the beta install in "two stages" (Hades3, play a while and fiddle, then install the EMF Beta by replacing the four module folders, then running HIP.exe again), I redownloaded everything and did it "by the numbers" with absolutely no post-install fiddling. It still does the same thing with EMF Beta installed. Just trying to rule out myself fat fingering the install here :D

Uncertain if this is a vanilla bug or something in EMF, but figured I'd report it anyway.

This malus was applied to everyone at the Duc of Aquitania's court during a time when the lands were being ravaged by some sort of illness (camp fever I believe), though I don't know if it's related. The issue is that I married her at the time when it was still on her, and well after it's faded from the rest of the Duc's court (as you can see, he's not even alive anymore), the malus persists on her. I actually consoled the Strong trait on her to counteract this as it adds +1 to health, but it remains an issue. Hope something can be done about it!

Alright, I'm now officially mystified.

Gave up on the EMF Beta for now as my play style pretty much necessitates being able to have the game auto pause whenever I win/lose a battle/siege and went back to the regular Hades3 where it works fine. And it does.

But... Now it's showing the exact same behavior for the message about "raiders arriving to raid your land" and it's probably been doing that the whole time, I just didn't notice (I'm playing as a Norse in this particular game where I don't really get raided myself all that much).

I can set it in message settings to pause on popup and the setting stays but it doesn't pause (it does pop up, however), and when I tried, just out of curiosity, to set it to pause for "persons of interest", it would let me do so and close the settings window normally, but when I opened it again it had removed my setting and moved it to the third column for "others".

Is there a general issue with PDox's latest patches and the message settings, something that is wholly unrelated to the mods, perhaps?

Five minutes later post edit: Yup, just as I thought: it's not the mod, it's PDox.

Please disregard. I guess I'll just have to roll back to approximately WoL versions again... *sigh*

Cumbric culture has no cultural retinue.
Pictish retinue is LI/Archers, but their cultural castle building provides LI/HI.

WARNING: Some installed files do not match their released version.
Also (might not be bugs):
1. Cumbric culture is part of the Celtic culture group, but their cultural castle building is North-Germanic (I expected same as Welsh or Pictish...)
2. While playing as a tribal, I formed a new kingdom using the decision; my duchies had tanistry succession, but the kingdom was formed with gavelkind. Is this intentional? I remembered that created titles keep the previous title's succession laws.

When I try to build a new holding the popup window appears behind the county/settlement window so I can't build anything.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong, but I started a game as Finnmark and I can't raid any settlements? I already converted to Norse culture and religion (Germanic).

Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: After restarting the game, raiding works?!
