Both Issues Corrected, now a matter of determing what mods are the issue, thank you kindly
I've no idea why that would be, and it's the first I've heard of such behavior. The inbred trait is only given by the hard-code (engine) in HIP, although non-HIP mods might add it to characters, IDK.My problem is that when starting 1066, playing as Heinrich III of HRE, my son is inbred, even though I'm married to Bertha de Savoie, who as is, should not be remotely my relative. So, is there a reason for this happening or is there a fix for this?
This is WAD for now. The Seljuk that first rules Rum is dynamically-generated so as to avoid re-inheriting Persia or vice versa.I've noticed that when the Seljuk's successfully conquer Anatolia from the Byzantines at the 1066 start their family tree breaks.
The guy who founds Rum doesn't have a father.
I just noticed that all rebels and adventurer hosts are acting strangely in a save I've got going. Armies for both are being represented by muslim heavy cavalry units and adventurers are all ducal bishops. I believe it has been happening since the latest update (w/o Conclave, started the game before I bought it).[HIP Release [DEV: 2016-06-26 13:28]]

Please include the version.txt file from your HIP folder—this will make it possible to address your bug. And double check that no other mods are running.I just installed HIP with EMF, CPR, ARKO CoA, SWMH (Regular). I am having massive issues with the portraits.
A lot of groups are missing either hair, entirely. Wheter it be facial or ordinary hair. Finno-Ugrics, some West-Slavs, Baltics etc.. I don't know why. I have all the portrait DLC's. I tried reinstalling but it didn't help at all.
Sometimes the potraits don't even show up at all, whatsoever. Just like a wooden rock texture. http://puu.sh/pVKcP/7da898de6a.jpg

Great. Yeah, that is a known issue with Steam & CK2, and AFAIK, it's essentially random -- so that could happen to any of the rest of us too.I seem to have fixed the issue. I deleted all my DLC's and re-downloaded them on Steam and now it works. I think they were corrupt or something. Everything works just fine now.
You're supposed to unzip the file in My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod, not in the Steam folder.Hi,
I've only recently installed the mod, and every time i attempt to run it it immediately crashes. This makes me very sad. I've included a screenshot of my mod folder, a few shots of the inside of the folders within, and the version.txt-file.View attachment 194912

Can anyone help me?
Thanks a lot man! You're supposed to unzip the file in My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod, not in the Steam folder.
If you're talking about the localisation, that's WAD. There's no such thing as a Duque or Duquessa de Castilla, but we give them the duke-level title to allow them to have count-level vassals. See the County of Barcelona, Flanders, and others for a similar situation.Don't' know if this is an EMF Problem or one of the other sub-mods in HIP . Duchy of Castile . The holder only has a rank of Count (Conde) from the start of the game. Should be Duc or Duque (Duke).
Debts don't just magically disappear once you die. If you inherit someone's estate, it's implied you inherit their debt as well. With the Owing Jewish Money lenders that wont go away (Which one of my Relative did early on . Now All my new Characters after succession are stuck with this.).
Had some buggy government behavior: playing as imperial ERE, attacked feudal kingdom with a de jure duchy CB, king's gov type turned imperial upon peace. In case any of these details matter: his kingdom is titular, his whole realm is de jure ERE, and his only holdings were in the target duchy (so he had to usurp a vassal county upon peace to stay landed).[HIP Release [DEV: 2016-06-26 13:28]]

I figured it was something like that and would self-resolve, but I wanted to mention it in case it was an issue. It had definitely switched by succession soon after and now I can annex the son.I suspect that, because you usurped all the target's counties, it treated him as your technical "vassal" for a moment before forcing him to usurp one of his realm's other counties...and thus switched his government over. It'll switch back on the next maintenance pass.
