Bug Report: The Undead Monarch

Yes, EU2 is everything you've heard about ... and more. Fantastic game, in a Grand Campaign I've already reuinted France (sans Brittany) by 1540, which ain't hay, because the AI is crafty as can be. HOWEVER, that being said, I have found some major problems. Namely the fact that the Holy Roman Emperor is Ladislas Postumus of Austria. That's right. A chap who should hae been dead for a loooooong time. Neither Maximilian or Charles (Karl, if you prefer) have even come along! Not to mention England, which in 1540 is still ruled by Henry VII, who turned them Protestant within months of the Reformation event! And then there's France, who in 1540 is still ruled by Louis XII? I sincerely hope the patch coming up will fix this. If not, it's a glaring error which needs to be addressed soon as possible.

The Undead Monarchs (gee.. sounds like a really crappy B-movie ) is a but that has been squished. Should be ok in a puture patch.

Perhaps this is addressed in 1.01?

I thought this bug was supposed to be gone by now. Or perhaps it was in the list of fixed bugs in patch 1.01. Looks like i´m going to be busy patching the game as soon as I get it.

Yes, this fix is in the 1.01 patch.

Most annoying bug! That alone is reason enough to get that patch!

And I though our only undead monarch was going to be Vlad the Impaler for Wallachia!

The bug has been fixed and will be cleared up in the patch. I hought it was gone before the gold version, but must be remembering wrong.

Just as State about his immortal monarch Hitchin of England...

Depends on how good the monarch is.

Hitchin was pretty good. So was Cavendish. Both were much better than Henry VI who was supposed to be monarch.

There was (is?) a bug where random leaders would become monarch. Then they would become undead. Sometimes the undead die, BTW, and the relevant historical monarch enters. Demetrios, this fix was in the first post-gold beta patch.
