I'm getting paranoid about saving HOI cause it crashes on me more often than not!
(I've updated with the latest patch.)

First of all I had to disable sound to make it run on a PIII500 machine running XP. No such problems on my IBM Thinkpad laptop. However: on both machines HOI crashes a lot when I deploy naval units. It just flickers and I'm back in windows : (
Trying to access naval units also randomly triggers the crash.

I'm also desperately trying to figure out shortcuts and other tech info. Ok, the manual could have been 500 pages..don't expect you to print it...but is there a word document with more info somewhere!?

How do I merge naval and air units when there is army units in the same hex?

Also looking for clues about the convoy system....where, when what and how much!?

Shouldn't a CV be able to carry more than one type of AC?

The resource, production & research bars are difficult to controll. Why can't you order them to stabilize on a somewhat sensible setting!!? Typing in exact valuse and allow for automatic adjustments would be fine. Adjusting the bars drives me fruitcake... :p

I find HOI very entertaining, as a WWII geek I love the deep research possibilities. You HAVE to work more on HOI to make the rest live up to just that aspect! User interface and the AI can get better...I also prefer turn based. 1 week = 1 turn is excellent.

It should be possible to enter a management menu where you can select all your units and reinforce, update and move them between your own bases. It's boring to spend so much time repeating such tedious procedures time over again.

That's what I can remember for now :]

Strange... is all I can say, have you checked out the bug and/or suport forums?

Sorry, I feel the same way about the manual. One sad thing is that it seems to describe alot of stuff that wasent even included in the game. Would have been nice if it instead could have descibed the things that really was included.

I guess this forum is all we got, and it seems to work fine.

If anyone finds a proper manual in pdf or doc, I would also want a copy!

Yes it really should... I havent played with any carriers yet, but my guess is that it ism already a reported bug.

Yes, the interface is quite sorry at some things...

Make sure you're deploying then to a prov with a port, it'll CTD otherwise (fixed in v1.02)

Select one unit of the type you want to merge. Hold shift. Drag a box around all the units in that area. Volia!
