planning impossible: My planes don't know how fast they fly.

I send bombers to bomb a target 3 provinces away. The planes tell me they need 1 hour to reach that target province, but then when they fly they need 3 hours. they travel 1 province per hour.

And no, there were no interceptions, they flew straight and without disturbings.

This means my bombers are always delayed when they don't bomb a neighbouring province. This can't be right.

The CCB should show the correct arrival time to target IMHO.

Let me take two examples:

In the USSR:

1) It's 13.00 and i order my planes in Gomel to bomb Voronezh. I open the CCB look when the planes can arrive the earliest and it says 14.00. So i send it with the button on the CCB but instead of arriving at 14.00 the planes arrive at 16.00. Why?

Because the planes fly through 2 provinces on the way to target and it takes 1 hour to travel from one province to the other.

2)From the same airbase in Gomel, i want to bomb Wilno. I want an early morning raid 2 hours before the land forces arrive. So i open the CCB and order them to bomb as soon as the sun goes up, 05.00. Note that i gave this order several hours in advance, 20.00. The ground forces shall arrive at 07.00.

The ground forces arrive at 07.00. this is the same time as the bombers arrive. the bombers are too late again. exactly the 2 hours extra they need to travel through the 2 provinces that are between Gomel and Wilno.

Klaus

Well, ideally the planes arrival time should depend on their speed and the distance travelled, not an arbitrary 1 hour per province...

But until the day we get that, the CCB showing a correct arrival time will help :D

Another thing...

Sometimes when a group of planes are ordered to attack a target the ETA for attacking will be set to days later (maybe this is due to a land attack has been ordered into another province earlier). If I then manually change the date of attack to be as soon aspossible after the order planes still stay on the ground without attacking. When I enter the order screen to check the changed date of attack is still active. No, I didnt push cancel by mistake. This bug(?) appears rather frequently and has been there since 1.00 as far as I can remember.

Greetings,

Regarding "planned" (air?) attacks, there seems to be one more annoying bug: Allthough the units are not moving, their supply consume is increased as if moving... I didn´t notice for a while and was wondering what the hell was eating my indursty.

you mean the time from ordering the attack till they actually take off the consume supplies ?
