Two things which are getting on my nerves here. :) Thought certainly not enough for me to stop playing... I'd like to get a little feedback.

1)BB Value: I noticed this while I was playing Novgorod. I, so far, have declared two wars, both of which ended in Annexation of Suzdal and Tver. No big deal, I figured people would go nuts on me. However, I've been monitoring worldwide events and what I saw NOT happening bugged me. England and Turkey have declared war and each annexed several smaller nations. They're not at war with anyone they've not declared war upon; I'm at war with 15(!) other countries.

2)Alliances: THIS is the one that's really bugging me. Countries will NOT join an alliance. They ignore my request to join their alliance. They sometimes ask me, but that doesn't change the above. I have had Royal Marriages, relations of 200, and they still will not join or let me join at my request. Also, I can't leave an alliance once I've joined.

Help is appreciated. :)

Alliances and RM's are linked with BB, high BB and good relations wont help since you for sure will drag them into more war. ;)

BB cool.

The BB thing is cool. Figured it would be improved upon.

As for the alliances, I can have a totally clean slate. An example after I was having some trouble as Byzantium:

I restart my game after declaring some wars and people not joining an alliance.I don't declare any wars and I decide to spread out some love via money for many, many years. I end up with some royal marriages and a couple relationships of 200 with my neighbours. I offer Serbia an alliance. 200 relations, royal marriage. They decline. Offer it again next time. No dice. THEN, after the second refusal, two months later, they offer ME an alliance. No sense at all. This is pretty much the way things are no matter which country I play.

What is the limit for nations in an alliance that you create? I play as China, and have managed to have 5 nations not including me in the alliacne(Vietane,Assam,Nippon, Manchu and Dai Viet). But is there a limit? Or will it be, if the AI makes an alliance, they can invite everyone and the kitchen sink in, have a massive alliance? This always bugged me in EU. Please tell em it is not the same in EU2.

Also, what is required for diploannexation? Again,a s China, I had Manchu and Vietane at 200, in an alliance, had huge armies on their borders, waited 15 years, and when I go to click on annex button for each of them, I get a refusal. I positively dwarf these pddling staes, yet they will not agree to join my nation. I have perfect stability as well, and even have not spent any money, letting my treasury build up. Nothing. Any ideas?

You had them as vassals? (just checking ;))

It isn't easy to diplo-annex. Never was, historically...

I hope there is no limit of nations in an alliance, that wouldn't make sense. The solvation of the massive alliance "problem" should be changing the AI to make such an alliance hard do obtain.

Their relation with eachother might not be very good, that could be the case.

They might love you but loath half the alliance anyway. ;)

If I was playing a small country I wouldn't join another small country which is fighting 15 other nations...

The culture feature, does that in any way influence diplomacy?
