BUG: Meuthen Agreement not working properly

Meuthen Agreement

The event for the Meuthen Agreement is not playing properly or the effects of choice are incorrect for "offer the agreement."

If Portugal offers England the agreement the effects state:

Centralization +1
Relations with England +150
manufactories (3 or 4)
Stability -1

You Get:

Stability becomes -3
Portugal becomes an English vassal
only one of the factories promised

The "don't offer the agreement" effects work as stated in the pop-up.

I quit a game (and saved) in 1701 so I was able to reload and try this several times as I wanted to offer the agreement. I eventually went with don't offer and continued the GC.

2nd note re: Portugal v1.03, still not getting army uniform upgrades
(am at tech 44 and army still wearing leotards and pantloons.)

ok, I've checked the event #3275 for Portugal and the acceptance of this will trigger event #3093 for England wich will make Portugal a vassal of England if England goes the historical way.

The -3 stab you're getting at might be due to the fact that you are becoming a vassal of England.

As for the manufactories you don't get, I have no idea.

I will post this in the beta forum and see if I can get a response from Doomdark.

Great, and thanks. I think it is a matter of the pop-up promising the wrong info. Relations w/England +150; no mention of becoming a vassal (which is why you get the stab hit.)

Interestingly the Age of Merchantilism pop-up warns that you (Portugal) will become an English vassal (for the same event.)
