Leader traits: do not work as FAQ says

FAQ: "Winter Specialist
Units may move and fight without penalty at winter."

But:
1. Moves no faster than others in winter conditions.
2. Has a bonus of 30% when fighting in "snow", but gets 100% penalty (!) when fighting on "icy ground". This is obviously a bug.


FAQ: "Trickster / Camouflage Expert
The army under a trickster leader is invisible to enemy intelligence, gains a large bonus to air defence, and always gains the surprise bonus when attacking."

But:
1. Is not invisible. Well, he may be, but his men certainly aren't. :D
2. Whether he gets the surprise bonus is unclear, since nobody knows what surprise does.


FAQ "Engineer
Moves and attacks across rivers without penalty."

But:
1. Moves across rivers at the same speed as other leaders.
2. In some cases the penalty for river crossings looks like it is eliminated. In other cases the Engineer actually gives a penalty when crossing rivers (e.g. when using tanks that have all the river crossing techs)


FAQ: "Panzer Leader / Blitz Specialist
Blitz attacks are more likely to succeed for this leader, even with the odds stacked against him. Also gains a significant bonus to movement speed."

But:
1. No bonus to movement speed.
2. He gives 10% bonus to combat efficiency tanks (defending or attacking) which isn't mentioned in the FAQ


FAQ: "Commando
Mountaineers, paratroopers and marines under a leader with this skill get a large bonus to attack and defence."

But:
1. Gives not a large bonus to combat for specialist forces, but only a very small one (we figure 5%)
2. Gives 5% penalty to other troops, which surely can't be intended?

I can imagine some of these things are WAD and just wrongly described in the FAQ. Some other things must be bugs.

Maybe I need to add this for the benfit of the bug-fixing people:
it appears to be so, that the situation, where I discovered that the Engineer leader performed worse than the vanilla leader when crossing the river, has perhaps nothing to do with a problem with the the engineer.

In my attack across the river, I used tanks, all of which had engineer brigades attached and I had already researched all river crossing techs. It now appears that the bonusses from these techs and the eng. brigades combined actually make attacking across rivers more efficient than not attacking across rivers !

The Engineer leader, sets effects from river crossings to 0, which is why he performs worse than other leaders in the example above.

So what needs to be done is to eliminate the possibility of actually getting a bonus for attacking across the river.
