Italian airforce in the deep desert
In the hands-off 1.02 game I watched tonight, the Soviets annexed Germany and turned their sights on Italy. They never quite finished Italy off, but they occupied the entire penninsula. After this happened I noticed htat there were 14 Italian air divisions in the southernmost province of Libya, where there is no infrastructure whatsoever. Italy still held many other more hsopitable provinces, such as the rest of Libya, most of Egypt, East Africa, and Sicily. Some of these provinces did have air units in them, but the bulk of Italy's airforce was in the Sahara.
