Right pronunciation is Kyiv, not kiev.

Why paradox support russian terrorism and their game historically incorrect?

No, look at how many more results there are for kievan rus than kyivan rus.
Kiev also easier for an English reader to guess pronunciation for than Kyiv

They changed it in ck3 even if you have russian culture but thankfully eu4 has yet to adopt the silliness
