Bug in counter-reformed CB?

I play as Bavaria and as soon as I can I convert to counter-reformed to get those nice CB:s on my heretic neighbors. But the CB only appears in my diplomacy screen, there aren't any lightning bolts on the diplomacy map and if I do declare war anyway my stability, as expected, goes through the floor along with my reputation. Is this a relic or a bug?

(Yes I've done a search but CB isn't a 3+ letter word...)

It might take a month or two for the diplomacy engine to realise those CB's have come through: if you switch to CRC and declare war on someone immediately, it probably hasn't registered yet and still thinks you should be taking a stability hit.

If it's been more than thirty years, you might have run out of CB's; they are removed after the Edict of Tolerance (although you can remain a CRC nation and continue to force-convert people).

If the former, it should right itself: I often play as CRC countries and used those CB's regularly without any problem.

Thanks for the help. It's the former, it works alright now. Well, apart from the fact that those small nations have extremely powerful armies and like to go into alliances, Bavaria doesn't get any leaders either (so far at least) so after ten years I only managed to annex Thüringen.

TYW? Anyway I just checked leaders.bay and my first general will be Tilly (1609-1632, 3 4 4 1) Maybe there is enough time for some conquering before the edict of tolerance
