Bug in 'Byzantium events addendum for EEP'?

I have tried 2 games as byz where suddenly event 90073 (Mameluk Victory) fired with no warning.

The event text says: "The Empire was unable to advance in Palestine or Syria and the Emperor's claims to the Holy Land fell on deaf ears".

In neither game I had made ANY claims on those lands. The event just fired.

In the first game I had no possesions in Anatolia (but a lot in the Balkans and among the islands), and suddenly I am told that I loose CB shields in Mameluk territory. I have never HAD any shields there ... I am not even CLOSE to that area ...

In the second game I have all of Anatolia except Trebizond and Kurdistan when the event fires.
Again I have never had any shields on Mameluk lands, but again I seem to 'loose' them.

It appears to me that there is supposed to be some events that go before event 90073 - namely 90062 to 90072. But they never fire. Suddenly I am told that I have lost to the Mameluks.

Isn't this a bug? If not it seems like a rather abrupt way of suddenly loosing your chance of a way to claim Outremer ...

Actually not. You see it is NOT part of the EEP. It is an independent project for use with the EEP - and since I am not to post in the forum where I downloaded it from, I guess there is no other place than right here .
