I can't be sure if this changed after the latest patch or just after I got the new Art of War DLC, but since a while I am facing a strange fact. In short, I was playing as Portugal and conquered the entire Jolof (is it written correctly?) "nation". Now, I obviously expected some rebellions but when those rebels came, I saw two armies with more than 10.000 soldiers using european weapons. I cored those provinces, but the culture was still local since I wasn't still able to convert them to catholic religion. Is that normal? I mean: in the latest rebellion I faced 3 armies for a total of 39.000 men... I had just 20.000 soldiers and the forcelimit set to 25. I could win, but it would have been tooooo costly to expand in Africa.
Moreover I found that even people playing with african or native-american nations are encountering the same issue. I was barely capable to defeat those rebels, how an african tech-group nation could survive to costant european tech-gruoup rebellions? I think it's almost impossible.
So, considering what I said, I suppose something's wrong.
