2nd Japanese War (3 months after the first one!)

Playing USA with 1.03.

Japan declares war and I eventually puppet them. Three months later they declare war on the Philippines & me! I still have military access and Japan is still a democracy but they're no longer my puppet. Pretty wierd, eh?
