Various Observations

Egypt is for some reason an uncivilized nation...although that's of course a WAD, it's totally contrary to history. Egypt was, for a short amount of time, at least, at the forefront of non-European industrialization, making an uncivilized status simply unfair.

Also, is it possible to remap the cycling keys? At this point it's impossible to include dots in your unit names (ex. 1. Jaeger-Infanterie Divizion) since the dot is bound to the same key as the >.

There seems to be a couple of issues with Great Power Rankings...at the beginning of the game, several Indian states have a Great Power Rank, for some reason (I suspect it might be the carryover of a EU2 statistical calculation bug).

Tripoli should be independent in the 1914 scenario - Italians at that point had only a limited control of the interior, their forces being concentrated in a handful of coastal cities. Local Sanusyi tribes fiercely resisted Italian occupation into the 1920s.

Many flags in the 1914 (and possibly others) scenario are incorrect - Portuguese, Romanian, etc. As the game includes mechanisms for altering flags and the correct flags are included in game files, I'd say it's a design error.

EDIT: Life-ratings seems to be off. Parts of Tibet have life-ratings similar to that of France and most of Siberia is just as habitable as Western Europe

Austria is a Constitutional Monarchy at the beginning of GC. Is that silly or what?

EDIT2: Communist Russian flag and Flemish flag seem to be messed up. Both hammer and sickle and the Flemish Lion should be rotated (and in case of the hammer and sickle, moved to the upper right corner and reduced in size).

Multi-bug posts are are pain :( :D

Egypt is for some reason an uncivilized nation - WaD has to be, sorry

Also, is it possible to remap the cycling keys? At this point it's impossible to include dots in your unit names (ex. 1. Jaeger-Infanterie Divizion) since the dot is bound to the same key as the >. - don't think so, sorry

There seems to be a couple of issues with Great Power Rankings...at the beginning of the game, several Indian states have a Great Power Rank, for some reason (I suspect it might be the carryover of a EU2 statistical calculation bug). - Logged - which bug it particular?

Tripoli should be independent in the 1914 scenario - Italians at that point had only a limited control of the interior, their forces being concentrated in a handful of coastal cities. Local Sanusyi tribes fiercely resisted Italian occupation into the 1920s. - this makes them rebels not independent. WaD

Many flags in the 1914 (and possibly others) scenario are incorrect - Portuguese, Romanian, etc. As the game includes mechanisms for altering flags and the correct flags are included in game files, I'd say it's a design error. - Logged already

EDIT: Life-ratings seems to be off. Parts of Tibet have life-ratings similar to that of France and most of Siberia is just as habitable as Western Europe - I'll log this. Even us betas do not understand what life rating is supposed to do in the game, it's always 35???

Austria is a Constitutional Monarchy at the beginning of GC. Is that silly or what? - yes. Logged but might be WaD?????

EDIT2: Communist Russian flag and Flemish flag seem to be messed up. Both hammer and sickle and the Flemish Lion should be rotated (and in case of the hammer and sickle, moved to the upper right corner and reduced in size).
- Logged but there is a flag template to make them yourself from BMPs

Is there any hope to create a suggestions forum? That Egyptian WaD is rather silly, I'd think.

Concerning the dots...it seems that dot on the numpad does the cycling as well, which is somewhat weird.

There's a 1.02 wish list in general forum. The reason Egypt is uncivilised is so that it can be annexed if UK, France or Ottomans want to. Could have happened IRL but can't if its civilised.

BTW - doing so means your BB goes through the roof and it is not recommended.;)

Egypt being uncivilized allows the OE to fight them and the UK to fight them with less collateral damage than if they were civilized. For instance, it allows the OE to hypothetically reannex Egypt if it does well with much less problems than if Egypt were civilized (multiple wars). A civilized Egypt is also a great threat to Persia.

I am not saying that these are the design reasons - I don't know those - I am merely considering some possible implications of a change to civilized status for Egypt.

Am I missing something here? It certainly didn't take Brazilians "multiple wars" to annex my poor, corporate crime-ridden dictatorial Uruguay ;).

Count the provinces. Victoria has a 3 province annex rule for civilized nations.

It's the Mystery of Life! :D

I started to write a detail description so I figured I might as well write the bug report - Bug 2506.

Btw, the official effect of Life is to reduce pop growth, modify attrition, and reflect desirability for immigration.

The only problem with that rule is that Mexico if it wins the war against texas can not re-incorporate it into it's nation, which considering that at the time it was a war for independance seems strange. if the rebellion is crushed then there should be no texas.
