1881 scenario NZ crash

When new zeeland goes independent the game crashes, could be a coincidence have only tried it on this save file.

There is also an AI event (6947) for the UK to make Australia a dominion, which can occur from 1901 onwards. Did this event occur in your game? I ask because it is the same sort of event as the New Zealand one.

Australia event works fine i have had it happen many times, I dont really understand why it crashes as there seems to be nothing wrong with the event.

*edit* it happened in this game as well.

I did some testing, & the problem does seem to be specific to the 1881 scenario & the make_dominion command. For example, I loaded the 1881 scenario as the UK, & triggered event 6926 (The Union of South Africa - ENG) using F12. When I selected choice A, which sets South Africa free as a dominion, the game instantly CTDed. When I loaded the 1861 scenario & triggered the same event, it worked without any problems. Thus, it appears that there is a problem with the 1881 scenario that causes dominion to not form correctly via event. Unfortunately, I don't know what specifically needs to be fixed. :(

might i add that i have the same problem? around 1902 an event (i think) fires that australia turns into a dominion and then the game CTDs.

this might not be a bug of sorts but evry time i load a game i get this message that something id prod blah bla blah. i could send my save-game to someone if you would like to see this message:(

Before you send it could you be a bit more specific about the error message than id prod blah bla blah :D

help identifing a bug

I am playing as germany it is about 1903 or so, and i get an event with what looks like an Imperial German flag and then my game CTDs i cant see the event or anyting and i am not able to play past it, very frustrating. :mad:

Try to # them out.
Or try to # out any event that occurs at the time of the CTD, just remember the offset.
Otherwise go to tech support and ask the fine people there. They certainly know more about the game and computers than I do :D.

Yes. But that doesn't mean that it has no effect... It was the only campaign speciffic event I could find around 1903.
