So I've had this idea about puppeting. I don't use it usually. I try to avoid it as I don't like the puppet system. I dont like how the AI operates and I dont like the constant annoying spam of them giving me units. I tend to delete them as its just a hassle. But I've always -wanted- me to be able to use puppets.
So I had this idea...
Why not give the Puppet master more ability to control their puppet?
You can tell the puppet to build factories in their country, build up an army of a certain size, you can tell them where you want them to attack. Say you have the dutch east indies under your control and you get them to field an army and a navy. You can tell them to counter Japan's advances in the pacific and they'll essentially fight Japan out in the ocean and in China or wherever. Alot of the time, these smaller countries despite having troops just sit their troops in their country and do nothing. It would be cool to tell the AI to fight instead of forcing you to take control of their army. I hate the extra managing like that. If I was going to do that, I rather just annex them, take their manpower into my own pool and develop my own troops.
I know that you can just take manpower from them but I just dislike it.
Anyways. Give us more options for our puppets. Again for instance, if you take over Dutch East Indies as a puppet and then in a peace deal, you give them the British Malayas((Or control it and give them all the land)) you can tell them to form the Majaput((Whatever the spelling is)) empire. I think that would be neat. Or you take control of Netherlands as Germany and have them reform Leo Belicus((Make the Reichskomisariat Netherlands and do it that way. Would be really cool. Same with Norway up there in the Nordic area. Reichskomisariat Nordic Empire/Scandanavian empire? Would be a blast!))
Just saying that as it is, puppets are kinda dull and they could use a good tune up, giving the Puppet master a little more control in some ways as well as making the Puppet Ai better. Give us less Micro and more macro for management.
