At guns and infantry can be seen at extreme ranges even with basic infantry, that makes tanks and other vehicles much better investment than it should. Coupled with pinpoint accuracy of planes this could be the issue. 120 point 17pounder for exaple can be killed with 1 bomb plane and if you have a little bit more air than enemy this action will go unpunished, meaning that the only thing you got to stop tank is TD and High caliber tanks of your own. AT guns are really risky investment, that can be stopped usually even without counters(for exmpl if tank or haltrack suppress it). and while infantry can be ok in forest and urban areas their movement visibility penalty is too harsh and they can be seen from whole map. If you use recon AT guns also can be usually seen at 1200m even when hiding in yellow bush cover, which kinda defeats their purpose.

Yeah the only workaround is to keep AT crews BEHIND line of cover insetad of in it. It only adds the need of more micromanagement. Im a lazy oldtard gamer and find it to micro-heavy to be comfortable. Would prefer some fucntion that would make the AT guns have longer aiming time but increased stealth, but without the need of microing them back and forth all the time. Actually gonna write it under suggestions forums.

AT guns do need more stealth, but their resilience is, for the most, pretty good. The main issue is their general lack of avail, and the pin-point capabilities of some artillery platforms.

some maps have open fields so u cant hide AT behind trees. Also I tested, when AT is behind tree line and u move it to trees it will be seen a moment it enters the line, so it will move a bit, than start rotating , than setup - if tanks already see it it usuallly go down before even first shot.

recon vehicles i guess need a stealth buff too I really dont see anyone using them. At least motocycles and jeeps.

SD still uses the same vision model. In rare cases of having extremely poor optics and stealthy attackers, you can still get fired at without the firer being revealed.

I find keeping ATG further back more useful than hedgerow micro.

I think the real culprit is just how easy it is to spot an AT gun that's sitting around doing nothing, even in green cover. It kind of defeats the purpose of using a towed ATG over a self-propelled one. Just make them harder to spot when in cover and not moving so that they at least get the chance to get the first shot off.

Make at guns slighty cheaper and come in higher availability per card. Why get a 76mm at gun when I can get an m10 for 10 more points. If the engine allows it have the at guns be recrewable by trading an infantry squad.

Already suggested it in suggestino forum. There could be either toggleable "stealth" stance, that trades performance for increased camouflage, or dynamic camouflage system that grows up gradually while unit sits in green cover idle.

Remember stealth AT in Red Dragon? they played a big role in the sitzkrieg doctrine.

Honestly, i don't want to se that again. And considering that AT funs already have price and terrain advantage i think they are more than enough powerful to do it's job.

Sitzkrieg, haha love it. But I digress, AT platforms being able to fire without being spotted was a bane in Wargame Red Dragon, it discouraged any kind of armored pushes and made it more advantageous to simply spam ATGM's.

AT guns do not need more resilience, they already survive quite a ton for a couple of guys behind a square of sheet metal, and their stealth seems more than fine to me. The only thing they might need is the slightest price reduction.

AT guns do not need any changes.

Infantry could use a bit more stealth in cover - especially in heavy (green). As is, they're very prone to getting spotted by wheeled recon and then promptly decimated. Compare that to infantry management in towns where it is near instant to break / enter LOS.

stealth firing

Yes but i think the OP want AT guns to be stealthier.
I can understand because most of the casual players think being into yellow/green cover is a good concealment for AT guns... but in the reality of the game, its not really.

I am not against of a slight buff of the smaller guns stealth.
