Well, I guess with the discard it's all even.
I wasn't exactly talking about the stealing cards from hand bit, though. I was kinda expecting you to hit FTL on your turn .. ah well. Maybe that wasn't so bad, given we failed the FTL jump we did do.

Since we didn't have any Cylons openly being Cylons I wanted a decent destination (or one that hit a resource other than fuel). I considered hitting the FTL, but scouting seems more useful, due to the lack of Cylons.

Rules question: If a Cylon get's XO'd, and he uses his first action to reveal, does he still have a second action?
General question: Is it worth the risk?

If a Cylon gets an XO, he does not get a second action. This may be different for a leader, though, depending on house rules - officially, they don't either, but I know for sure a couple of people here let them take other actions when they stop infiltrating.

And yes, if he feels like revealing it is worth the risk. Now is probably the safest time to XO him because, as you said, there's nothing he can do that's really damaging.

No.

To get a second action on an XO you must remain a valid target for the XO.

Now if there was a State of Emergency , someone before the Cylon used and XO on him then the Cylon revealed, he still get his State of Emergency move or action as he remains a valid target as it is players in the game, not human or cylons.

Of course there's no way to tell from where I'm sitting what type of destination you threw away. And both of those destinations I drew were pretty bad ..
I guess we're good now when it comes to fuel, though.

P.S.: A question about our board, what is "Civ B", is it some special civilian?

It contents have been looked at, some at least one player know what in it, and I have to maintain what it is in my notes, rather then figuring out what is in by random draw then it goes pop. There was a Civ A, but it was escorted off.

EDIT: for those that looked at the first version of the board. J-L is now in FTL control, not still in Pegasus CIC. He did not discover how to activate locations remotely when he jumpted the fleet last turn.

Of course if I was smart I would have known you'd say that and said what I said on purpose to throw you off the scent and make you scan someone else :p
And Kat .. well, maybe she's figuring she can do more damage sitting in that viper than she can from within the Cylon fleet. :p
Also, let's not forget that dodgy fellow with three loyalty cards sitting in the president's office, shall we? :)

A little more seriously: Yeah, Kat is helpful so far. This is good, and makes it more likely she's on our team, but it's not impossible for her to be evil, so let's not rely on this one turn entirely, shall we?
As far as suspects go: Myeah, Cally being evil would suck if she got to her turn. Citizen however would also be a very bad person to have on team cylon due to the 2 card draw when the president plays a quorum card thing. Not to mention losing that ability for team human.

If you have a critical situation (not sure if you draw/drew any tac so far) now would be the time to use it.

Yeah, I've really had high hopes for Foster, but didn't have a chance to use our combo. And even if one of you is metallic, then still either Citizen is bad, or he is likely to get shot. There is little to gain in shooting me or you after all, and pilot is away.

I dunno, what damage can a pilot do? I can't think of a reasonable way, Kat can't ram our ship after all.

Wait for the fleet to build up and jump in, then when things look dire ask for an XO and instead of protecting the civvies, run to, say, communications or command and ensure all of them get blown up.
Then there is the 'look so much like a human that the humans start trying to kill/brig each other' way of doing damage.
(That doesn't happen a lot, though. It's possible, but unlikely.)
And then .. well, I haven't looked carefully at the line of succession to check, but who is second in line for the admiral's title? Get that and you can also do a fair bit a damage by targeting nukes at piles of civvies or things along those lines.

I'd actually prefer it if neither of them got a chance to do much before their turn started. And that includes shooting people.
As for how helpful it is to shoot either one of us .. well, it also means throwing away your hand and losing morale, and possibly losing a title or having to move back to wherever you want to be, rather than starting your turn in a position where you can get XO'd easily.

And I probably shouldn't say this .. but scanning me isn't really the best thing to do for team human.
You see, my turn is still quite far away, so I can't do terrible amounts of damage right now even if I was a cylon. And if you scan either Citizen or Jacob and he turns out not to be a cylon, logically you would then know what side I'm on (as long as we're right about TNT - that isn't guaranteed, of course.)
If however the scan *does* have one of them show up a cylon, we will still have time to act on it. Time which we won't have if we just leave it.
.. actually. That logic can be reversed: Scan me, and you will have a rather good chance you will know the identity of *two* cylons.
.. unless TNT is a cylon.

Well, instead of scanning you we could have Cally shoot you (probably combined with a PP just in case). :p OK, having a fully confirmed human Admiral is not quite as important as when flying to New Caprica but it does help if one wants to avoid meeting all those distance 1 destinations on the way.

In any event we do have this nifty Cylon detector available so we should use it on somebody. Besides, if the President is doing the scanning then that's at least one action he can't do any harm if he is evil.

Err. I definitely have no desire to be executed, for starters.

I can guts & initiative this, but I can't solo it myself, and it risks cylons throwing in the TRE we got from that recent crisis.
If you could throw in some cards I could G&I it and handle the rest myself though, especially if we ask the rest to not play any cards - and threaten them with you brigging or executing them if they do.

Does that sound like a plan?

I can play a couple weak. If you would pass it with that, I'm probably the best choice. My loyalty is not in question right now, I've always been relatively neutral. I also have no desire to see you executed, be you human or cylon, as that weakens one side, which is bad for me either way.

Hmm, it does sound good enough. But can we be sure that King won't use this chance to decrease our morale further? I don't think he is too afraid of execution. If we brig him, will he stay there?

How about you solo it, then?
If you're a cylon, at least you will lose a bunch of cards. I know you draw mostly POL/LEA anyway, so you can't sabotage it terribly badly, and if you're good you will make yourself less of a target for execution-by-cally by depleting your hand of cards - so that's good for you, as well ;-)

Furthermore, there's a number of people after you in the order that can still play cards .. including myself. ;-)
