Given the importance of the choice on Crisis, I have to wait for others anyway so a quick question for Cally:
Do you have a repair in your hand right now?
I have to say I am really surprised at how fast Helo chosen the OR option. As you guys can see in my post above at first I am quite happy about giving up presidency, but then he made his choice within 17 minutes of the Crisis being posted and that's before he even hears from me (his choice was made before my post) sounds really strange and I am starting to think what's really happening. I claim I give him an XO via my character ability, so he certainly have 1 low value card to discard and with a hand size of 7, he definitely should have something to discard unless his hand is just rediculously good. This crisis would have also given me an opportunity to discard the Treachery I just drew so that's hardly a loss.
So right now there is two possible situation:
1: He is a Cylon and he knows admirals never survive to NC with Cally around, so he might as well do a power grab at the first available opportunity and forces you to choose either to execute him now or execute him after sleeper phase.
2: He is a Human and just wanted this opportunity to get Cally using her OPG to execute him, so if he turned Cylon in sleeper phase, then it might become possible for him to survive until he can jump the fleet early. Besides, who don't want to be a Pradmiral?
So right now our choices is the follows:
Option A: I keep Presidency and execute myself via Quorum Card, then I can choose a new character and stops Cally having to use her OPG since we can't say 100% sure Helo is a Cylon. The drawback of this is first I lose my entire hand (which is like 9 cards) and we still haven't prove Helo's loyalty.
Option B: I pass presidency to Helo and Cally shot Helo on her next turn right now. This will definitely clears up the loyalty issue but it does mean we loses his hand if he's a Human and then we won't be able to proof his loyalty after sleeper phase easily.
Option C: I pass presidency to Helo, there is a Q card that allows Helo to hand Admiral over to another person, we give him a chance to play this (on either Cally or me, Boomer will draw 2 loyalty card in sleeper phase so it would be better if its not her) or Cally will shoot him in the face if he fails to comply. The risk is we give him a full turn being Pradmiral and he can do so much damage in the mean time, although the good news is the Quorum Hand isn't really that dangerous as long as you don't end up in the Brig.
So what are you guys thoughts on this?
EDIT: So right now Helo is saying discarding 4 low cards is worse than having a Pradmiral pre-sleeper phase, he also made his decision before consulting with anyone (well, he attempted to, but I doubt he can expect a reply in 10 minutes).
For helo: Yes, I can execute myself using that Quorum Card:
EXECUTE PRISONER
Action: Choose a character in the "Brig". The character is executed. Then discard this card.
