That last turn, with the XO on Baltar, was a tad silly. At the very least they could have tried to move the existing civvies out of harm's way using communications ..

Jacob has 3 repairs in his hand, so yea.

New Caprica crisis cards suck for hitting you guys with resources. It seemed every second one was a choice, so we couldn't even force you to throw a lot into the check, and make you waste cards. I was hoping we would get lucky, but wasn't expecting to win without blowing up a few civvies, just because I looked through the crisis deck and couldn't see many crisis cards we could win on.

When galactica got swarmed with raiders, after the only pilot decided to kill himself and we got rid of pegasus, I had a feeling you guys were going to be weak in space so I was planning on pushing that from when we got on New Cap and had a turn or two of crisis cards that went nowhere. It was a good game, I'm kind of surprised you guys made it to new cap, but it was good playing on new cap. You managed to get back a ton of morale and a bit of fuel. There was a point in the game that I was even thinking that we missed our chance to beat you.

About the new game, I can give it a shot, but I don't know ionian nebula so we can't play that. Alternatively, if j-L want to do an ionian nebula game, I can do 13 and I should know all the rules.

This was without doubt my worst, not performance wise just value to the cause, game of BSG. Given the flow of the game my OPG was all but wasted, my turn power never used at all (roughly as good as a nuke if there are 2 basestars) and tactics draws beyond the scout for fuel ended up mostly useless. I had a LOT of repair cards this game and for all sorts of reasons rarely used them, had to whack myself multiple times to top it off.

Congrats cylons! We made plenty of mistakes, but somehow still managed to hold out for a pretty long time; near the end it even looked like we had a decent chance. My hand at the end of the game was pretty great too:

I agonized over the Fighting Blind decision, but I still agree with my ultimate decision. Letting two more centurions board at that point would have just consigned us to a slow death. Especially with all the personal goals that I was weighed down with at that point. I picked Adama as my replacement character to give us the best shot at passing all of the skill checks that could have killed us, which did work out as I had intended. With 3 extremely low resources, I felt that I needed to maximize our chance of surviving until Galactica got back; drawing 2 piloting cards a turn would have been a liability until then. Still, it's possible that another character would have been a better choice.

As for discarding those treachery cards, I wanted to get rid of them before the cylons had a chance to draw more Sabotages. By my count they only had one treachery card in total at the time, and even if it happened to be Sabotage, Command was the only really important location. So I think it was a reasonable risk to take. If we had been luckier then, I would have shot down about 3 raiders on each XO and bought us a fair bit of time. Given what ended up happening, we absolutely needed that last XO on Cavil instead of Baltar.

I think I'll sit out for the next game unless you guys need another player. It's been a fun game! Thanks much to E_L for hosting.

Well shooting yourself might have been the best option, you might have wanted to grab a pilot rather then have no one that could fly a viper. Pilot cards like the first 4 raiders skip activations can be rather huge. Plus if you are in a viper it a free viper action as the CAG.

Well shooting yourself might have been the best option, you might have wanted to grab a pilot rather then have no one that could fly a viper. Pilot cards like the first 4 raiders skip activations can be rather huge. Plus if you are in a viper it a free viper action as the CAG.

Yeah, I was confused as well. Both boomer and starbuck had good OPG abilities that dealt with making crisis cards more manageable, and boomer's regular ability could have been a great use as well.

Boomer was my second choice because her abilities are very powerful, but her card draw was pretty terrible for New Caprica. I decided that not being able to XO anyone was too big of a drawback. Apollo or Starbuck was probably my fourth choice (after Tory).

Again, at the time the resource situation looked dire enough that I wanted to focus on surviving until Galactica got back. Having a pilot was a liability until then. We still had 2 nukes and a damaged basestar was on the board, so the future space situation seemed chancy but probably survivable.

When we figure out who is running it, you can join in. There should be a thread put up sometime by whoever is running it. I think J-L might, but it does appear that some other people might be willing to do so as well.

Let me know if you guys want to do Ionian Nebula, since I've had some experience running that.

I don't know anything about that, so I would have to pull out my rule book and read up on it. I would prefer if it was not Ionian Nebula but I would play it even if it was.

I like the more basic games so will be hosting an (ideally) 5 person pegasus expansion kobol game. Yeah blahblah same rules but I like the balance. No reason a 4-5 person ionian cannot be run also. We might have player issues but people are allowed to be in both games. Ionian a really long game or?

I like the more basic games so will be hosting an (ideally) 5 person pegasus expansion kobol game. Yeah blahblah same rules but I like the balance. No reason a 4-5 person ionian cannot be run also. We might have player issues but people are allowed to be in both games. Ionian a really long game or?

Nothing with Exodus in that game? I think the Cylon fleet adds a lot of options, even if it still to Kobol. We could do Exodus Cylon Fleet to Kobol.

That should work. It is mostly about 5 players and kobol. I think it works best balance wise and speed wise.
