Well, killing the raiders and the heavy is more important than removing the basestar. The CFB mechanics make sure it will respawn quickly anyway.

Transferring the President title at least doesn't cost any cards. Obviously the execution is the worst solution.
I can easily discard 2 cards, as my hand is rather mediocre.
How bad is the 3 card discard, I would prefer to keep the Title if we do not loose any critical cards.

I can discard 3, but I'll be effectively useless until my next turn, especially considering I don't get to choose which cards to keep, so there is a good chance I lose the cards I want to keep.
Look, I totally understand not wanting to give up the title, but there are ways to get it back. Plus, you're not as useless as Roslin at doing non-presidential stuff.
So I fail to see why this should cost us 5 cards.
Have Dee go to Administration on her turn and use it to give you the title back. It does cost an action but we're kinda safe without Cylons anyway and maybe the Mutiny card could be useful.

You should choose soon. We don't have a Cylon yet, so the only choice that really matters to me is executing current player as we have time to build up more cards.

I will trust Alexu here, because the discard is something which I could very, very easily do.
I thought quite a bit about who to make President if I choose that, and I think I will go with TNT. I do not see a Cylon move behind gaining us morale by throwing away a lot of cards.
