So I have to play at least two cards here due to my hand limit being 8, and I can easily throw in more. I like my strong cards for their text value, but it may well be worth playing one of them anyway.

Rules said:
Character abilities and card abilities that affect Crisis Cards do not affect Mission Cards. Similarly, character abilities and card abilities that affect skill checks do not affect skill checks on Mission Cards. This includes “Investigative Committee,” “Restore Order,” and “Declare Emergency” Cards. Players do not resolve skill check abilities when resolving Mission Cards.

Effects or abilities that limit the number of cards that a player may contribute to a skill check (such as being in the “Brig,” being a Cylon player, or Aaron Doral’s “Vanity” negative ability) do limit the number of cards a player may contribute to skill checks on Mission Cards.

I am tempted to go with zero cards on this since it looks like we have things well in hand.

He is perfectly allow to claim to have an All hands on deck or trust instincts to play into the skill test. In my mind that counts as giving a card for a specific purpose. He also allowed to ask if someone has, say, an iron will they can throw into the test. Someone can confirm or deny if they like.

But it also one of those things that should not be abused as noted in the FAQ, as a way to just list off cards.

So, saying you can throw an Iron will into the test, is generally fine. Saying you can throw in, and listing off every card in hand (unless you only got 1 card in hand), is generally not fine. Your also not allowed to confirm that you did, or did not play a card into the test. But if someone says they can throw an Iron will in and none appears, it quite clear what really happened there.

As the GM Kingepyon is free to say he is over the line, but to me he more pushing it right now.
